MagnaManix at Death Valley. My ol' college roommate had big fun at my expense as I took this photo. "You take photos of your knives? Ha ha ha ha ha..."

May I ask what clip you have on there? I never change Spydie clips as I find them the best on the market, but the stock clip is a bit large for the Astute.
It's from MXG Gear - but for some reason I think it might be the Benchmade pattern one, not the standard Spyderco. I recommend checking the Astute hole pattern against both types of clips if you can.

Freshened up the edge this morning before heading out with the wifey. Finished at 800 grit this time. Pretty polished for me, but I think it suits this knife well.

I was carrying mine the other day and was again reminded about how great this knife is. The ergos for me are unmatched by any other knife in that size. Glad we are getting to see some more G10 with the SPY27 model. Still hoping to see a Renaissance in this and the Caly series and anything that relates to it.

My todays hiking companion is just a great design and I am really enjoying 4V.

The Stretch is a wonderful kitchen tool

It is indeed, for a folder!!

And as always: This exact version (the "1" platform and HAP40) to me is the best Stretch ever.
