Very excited to hear there will be a Combo Edge option :D Indifferent about the scale material other than it will likely add to the cost. Really cool to see and be able to use something different with the blade being done in CE, but I wouldn't have minded a new G10 color vs the CF

If anyone is still looking for a 52100 Military, Knives Plus apparently still has some for $220.

Just received word that the 52100 PM2 will be released next week. Not sure if it’s both the PE and combo edge version, or both.

More serrations than I expected, but I'll be getting one for sure. Surprised price is on point with M4 PM2 also. Should be a cool knife with a nice patina potential! What do you guys think PE or CE?!

Not at all interested in a Para 2 but really interested in serrated 52100 and jealous that it wasn't offered in the Military.

I echo your sentiments. Maybe 52100 would be a good steel for your serrated forward design. Any guesses about the performance of serrated 52100.

Two questions,
- I don't have any CF :spyder: . Is this full CF or a G10/CF laminate?
- I am only getting one. 52100 or Maxamet?

My only experience with these types of steels is K390, and so far I love it.

52100:
Rarity (Sprint but more common steel)
Sharpenablity

Max:
Wear resistance
Rarity (no one uses this steel for knives)

Both are tough tool steel that will stain

Same. Went for PE. I have SE salts like the Manbug when I need SE. CE is cool as heck tho!

I think that it will make a great SE blade but you will have to be able to sharpen serrated edges. The PE Military easily gets ridiculously sharp but doesn't seem to hold an edge as long as a lot of other steels. I hope that JDSpydo chimes in though.

Thanks folks. Pre-ordered.

Keeping the pre-order for Maxamet, see which comes in first, cancel it once I get the 52100. Worst case, I keep both. PM2 is my favorite, so I wouldn't really be heart broken :D May get my nose broken if wife finds out...
