Your affinity for the Manix has me wanting to try one. I think I’m done buying knives for at least the rest of this year, maybe next year as well, but a Manix is on my list now. Whenever the Manix Salt comes available, it may be my first Manix.
Is that Ronin a new model for you? Do you carry it often? Don’t know why I haven’t tried one yet.Teddy0215 wrote:

I’ve had the Ronin2 for a little over a year now, I believe. I carried it daily for maybe 4 months IWB at 4 o clock in the factory sheath , but eventually got tired of it poking me in the ribs. I’m pretty thin, 5’10”/156 pounds, and you couldn’t see it on me at all that way, if that’s a concern for you.PeaceInOurTime wrote: ↑Thu Oct 06, 2022 12:22 pmYour affinity for the Manix has me wanting to try one. It's probably the sliciest Spyderco that I own, even beating my Native Chiefs. The past few months I’ve mostly just used it in my shop breaking down cardboard and foam board and insulation, etc. now that it’s cooling off I’ve been throwing it in a jacket pocket every day and I have to say I’m glad to have it back in me again for use throughout the day.
If you can find one in stock ever, I would recommend picking one up. For $120 I think it’s still a good value.

i hope you like it. i think it's a brilliant design and i'm often surprised by the things people don't like about it, but i'm sure others feel the same about me with other models.PeaceInOurTime wrote: ↑Thu Oct 06, 2022 12:22 pmYour affinity for the Manix has me wanting to try one. unfortunately, the wait for the salt might be a long one. the native still isn't even out yet. hopefully spyderco will get everything sorted with their magnacut production and the manix won't be too far behind the native. that magnacut m2lw is basically a dream come true for me though. i'm really looking forward to it.

Thanks for the detailed reply! It looks like a useful model, love wharncliffes. I’ll probably try neck carry if I get one.Teddy0215 wrote: ↑Thu Oct 06, 2022 12:36 pmI’ve had the Ronin2 for a little over a year now, I believe. I’m ok waiting a while. I need to spend time using the knives I already have. I am hoping the M2LW Salt will be translucent yellow.ladybug93 wrote: i hope you like it. i think it's a brilliant design and i'm often surprised by the things people don't like about it, but i'm sure others feel the same about me with other models.

It definitely is interesting & unique. I don't have anything else quite like it (I posted my impressions of the knife 3 years ago in a thread started by its designer Chris Knutson). I'm looking forward to pairing it with a Swick 5 eventually.Manixguy@1994 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 07, 2022 3:01 pmVery interesting and unique, glad you posted it . MG2
