It's an LC200N Pacific Salt with dyed scales, reground tip and thinned out edge. It's a little dirty from being with me while I cooked a 150 person catering event.
I give it a thumbs up. Been completely rust proof for me, I love how light it is for the size. Mine is only 2.4oz.

When it's rainy & humid out, I break out the stainless. Per Ladybug93's request, here's my 204P Knifeworks Exclusive Military.

No pockets or carry today…today was ACL reconstruction day! After a few days of probe rest, I suspect the SE ARK will be able it for a couple of weeks. Good thing I REALLY like that on

So it goes.

I was just looking back at this thread to post about sharpening that Cruwear Delica and saw this edit.
I like those steels in terms of ease of sharpening, same as Cruwear...edge retention is nothing special though. I just don't hate on those steels because they dont have the crazy cult following that Cruwear has, that I still can't wrap my head around.
I honestly question if people that are head over heels about Cruwear, have honestly cut anything more than an apple or opened an envelope with their knives in this steel. I think a lot of people just see what others post and base their opinions on that. But, that's just me I guess

You've written much about toothy PE H1. Will you be doing the same with PE LC200N?vivi wrote: ↑Fri Oct 22, 2021 8:14 pmIt's an LC200N Pacific Salt with dyed scales, reground tip and thinned out edge. It's a little dirty from being with me while I cooked a 150 person catering event.

I don't really make a habit of selling knives in the first place, but it's safe to say that this one has a permanent home in my collection.

Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??
I see a lot of things in the knife world that seem to parroted that differ from my experiences (S30V is chippy?). I'm sure a lot of steels are purchased (or not) based on what they read or see (YouTube) from others.TkoK83Spy wrote: ↑Fri Oct 22, 2021 9:08 pmI was just looking back at this thread to post about sharpening that Cruwear Delica and saw this edit.

Most steels that are easy to sharpen probably don't have the best edge retention. I think the attraction to Cruwear is that it's balanced pretty well. Not the best corrosion resistance but enough that it doesn't stain or rust very easily. I like how it sharpens and I've actually used two are three of my Cruwear knives to break down a lot of cardboard and I've never noticed that they would lose their edge particularly fast. I don't expect them to shave arm hair after a lot of cutting but they seemed to work fine. The beauty is that all it takes is a few minutes on the Sharpmaker and you're back in business
Of all the things I've lost I miss my mind the most!

Yeah, someday I want to even up the bevel a little more and give it a toothy edge, and see how it holds that edge vs H1.skeeg11 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 22, 2021 9:42 pmYou've written much about toothy PE H1. I've been incredibly impressed with the edge retention gains I've seen in H1 using this method. I can go at least 4x as long between sharpening my dyed Pacific Salt using 200 grit instead of the medium stones from Spyderco.
Hoping LC shows a similar jump.
Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??
Nice! Miss my Air... Went through 3 of them. Kept selling because of the weak detent and no clip.
Really wish they re release the air with a clip and/or stronger detent. Amazing knife otherwise
