Difference is that they said the Techno sales were still strong, if Spydiechef sales are not strong there will be a long way to Spydiechef 2
I'd be happy if they just kept the current version in production. It's my favorite user knife.
I like it too, works well on guitars :D
If it doesn't sell it will face the chop, Spyderco is merciless at this stuff

I emailed Spyderco back on the 10th of March on their website store regarding the Spydiechef.
Candi Powell responded that they didn't have an ETA on a restock, but would keep me on a contact list. Will keep the fingers crossed!

I had my eye on a couple used ones on eBay, but they ended up selling for more than the new 2018 price. Hard pass.

March 27th I got one for $188 after the promo, since then I've been wanting a second but they've been selling for around $100 more than I paid.

It’s personal of course, but the 2 has lost the simple, aesthetic beauty of the original. Leave it alone. Too many stylistic flourishes on the "new" one for me.
