lol, funny :squinting-tongue

It doesn't have to be much, just a colorful, or not so colorful bit of insurance.

to each their own. i don't even like to carry knives with silver clips. i wouldn't carry one with a lanyard dangling out of my pocket. and if im carrying clipless i want the knife to feel slim and compact, the lanyard would add bulk.

That's understandable if you want to keep things concealed. I have nightmares about dropping $100+ knives tip down on concrete and do not trust my dexterity enough to keep it from happening. People should run for cover I ever get my hamfists on a balisong.

Haven't dropped a phone since smart phones became a thing so I'm good on that front.

That is just downright impressive! I have heard the splat of death on more than one. Those things just aren't made to fall face first! :thinking :squinting-tongue

Better view. Ok, that's it for today. I definitely appreciate being able to slap a lanyard on my knife. I know they may not be for everybody. Long live the holes of lanyard on Folding Knives! : )

I need a cellphone with a lanyard hole🤣 I drop it once a month. Those protective cases with the rubber edges have really paid for themselves.

Hey now that is a great idea! Maybe Apple can charge us $45 for a sleek lanyard hole that plugs into the charger port.

Nite Ize makes a phone tether that slips in between the phone and case. I use it when I go kayaking and the clip is small enough not to intrude in daily life.

I don't have a lanlyard on a Spydie yet, but on knives without a lanyard tube I like to use a zipper pull. Very low-profile yet grippy enough. Doesn't snag.

I'm the same, I tend to hold onto mine as long as possible. I've got a Galaxy S8 that's still going strong. I think I got it used in 2015 for $300🤣 The software updates are starting to cause problems. I'll probably upgrade to the S23 Ultra with the Qualcomm Snap Dragon processor and fancy camera at Christmas. I'll bet that one doesn't last 8 years. They're made to fail more and more.

LOL. Typing this from an S8 I got for free from someone that upgraded 3 times since they were current.

Back in the early 2000's I was cutting edge. Had a Wacom drawing tablet, the latest photoshop, dual CRT's, a raid array etc. These days I rock a 15 year old laptop, lol.

Becoming more relaxed about tech is a sure sign of age. It’s certainly a trend with me.
I used to be quite a nerd about these things, these days I view it more as a necessary evil.
