AFAIK, the FORAGER was a discontinued product a while back. Where did they get so many from?

I have one coming. What a great deal. This should work well for some fall yard clean up.

Glad you guys bought them up! I was very, very tempted to pick up another one or two, but now the temptation is gone. Great price on the knife! Too bad they don't have any Rock Salt leftovers...

I would love to get a nice deal on the Forester, and even the Dayhiker.

I got a Woodlander a while back, so it will be nice to see how much of a difference an inch and a quarter makes.

Dayhiker would be a little too small. I would want a F1 around that size, but the Forager deal was too good to pass up.

Mine came today. I thought the Rock Salt was a big knife, but compared to the Forager, it's a petite little thing.

One question, though: Are the handle screws supposed to be proud? It seems like they'll make for hot spots in use compared to flush or sunken ones.
Newest :spyder: in hand: Halloween Handle Hap40 Endura and Delica.

Yes they were discontinued, however that does not mean they were out of stock when they were. Spyderco uses Sierra to get rid of the last of stock, from time to time.

These are great knives, but what killed them was cost. I was in the Collector's Club at the time, and I shelled out over $300 for the largest of the series at the time.

Too bad Sierra could have limited purchase to one or two per household to eliminate those speculative buyers, and allow more customers to share the deal.

... looking at the forum, my 4-yr-old daughter walks up and says, "Daddy, I see the spyder."

I'm sooo proud. :D
