Re: Show your Vegetable Gardens and Harvests
I decided last week to stop picking off flowers and go go it . So fertilized Monday , should see results very soon . I never mess with the Tabasco and let them do their thing , they are the last to ripen every year . I hope a friend is going to save me a Chiltepin pepper for next Spring in his green house . I want to put in large pot and keep over winter inside . Very neat pepper .

Re: Show your Vegetable Gardens and Harvests
From what I have read it is the only true North American pepper . Forest time I ate one odd my plant it was a big surprise . Instant flash of heat then gone ! May be because the fruit is s small ? I don’t know . Guy I know from Mexico sai his parent had a huge bush in backyard and when he was little he thought they were candy and picked a whole handful and put them in his mouth . He thought his head was on fire ! Great kid story .SaltyCaribbeanDfly wrote: ↑Fri Jul 21, 2023 7:13 pmChiltepin pepper, I looked it up and it’s tiny like a blueberry or something…supposedly the alpha pepper going back 6-7k years…very cool!!!Manixguy@1994 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 21, 2023 6:30 pmI decided last week to stop picking off flowers and go go it . Starting to get a little better harvests now and I didn’t check the eggs for a couple days cuz it’s been storming hard…usually they don’t lay during bad weather but I stand corrected this time
