Nothing beats the PM2

Post by Waldamir »

For the last few days I've been carrying my Tasman salt that I just found while cleaning. After I got discouraged from not being able to get my Tasman very sharp I picked up my paramilitary 2 that was put away due to some small rust spots that formed on the blade a while ago that I wasn't able to get cleaned out. I put in it my pocket flicked it out and held her and I just remembered why this is my favorite knife. I can't wait till I get her all cleaned and get rid off the rust and scratches so I can feel comfortable with her in my pocket. I have yet to see a knife that deploys as quickly, gets as sharp, has amazing ergos, and handle as much work like my para.

This is my Paramilitary 2. There are many like it, but this one is mine.
My Paramilitary 2 is my best friend. It is my life. I must master it as I must master my life.
My Paramilitary 2, without me, is useless. Without my Paramilitary 2, I am useless. :D

While I like my PM2, I feel the way you do about my Manix 2! Like it was custom made for me!

Regarding your rust, have you tried using ant never dull wadding polish? I haven't met any rust that is surface that can't be removed by it.

I agree! Others may temporarily ride in the pocket, but soon, a Para 2 always makes its way back into the right front pocket (a green one is there now, and all is well).

I've actually never heard of it. Will it take out scratches too? My rust is little blackish red spots that I tried taking the corner of a ceramic rod to in desperation and they would not come out. I can upload a picture if you would like

That's it. Stuff is great on surface rust. It won't take out scratches unless they are super super light.

That's how I feel about the Gayle Bradley. The Para 2 is pure utility for me. It works great but doesn't get me excited.

My 204P Para2 hasn't left my pocket since it arrived. Perfect EDC blade length, a handle that is just wide enough and the edges rounded enough to eliminate hot spots, and my favorite lock. I owned three Para1's but never liked the grip.

Bummer. What is the blade steel on the PM2 in question? S30V?

I find that a few spots of rust don't affect the function of my knife. :)

A fella could do a lot worse than to end up with either a PM2 or a Millie.
