is this a decent knife for edc and outdoor use? what is an avergae price?
It gets excellent reviews and it is supposed to be particularly suited to slicing, though I wouldn't use it as a camp knife or try batoning with it ... at least one online store has it for $166.95.
My spydies: Squeak, Tenacious, Terzuola, D'Allara, UKPK CF peel-ply pre-production, UKPK CF smooth pre-production, UKPK G10 orange leaf-blade, UKPK FRN grey drop-point, UKPK FRN maroon leaf-blade, Bug ... all PE blades :)
I don't think the Stretch ZDP is a restricted model, so I'm not sure why it's in here.
There is a CF version and a FRN version of the Stretch ZDP, the FRN version can be had for a considerable less amount than the Carbon Fiber one.
I agree with ChrisR, it is great for EDC, but not so much for outdoors.
