So, I saw this and liked the design. I wonder what 50CrMoV15 is like??

I got their 7 inch santoku knife and love it, its soo sharp.

This one is kind of cool. I like it. 5 inches, holy moley!

I think they made a mistake on their info...it says 5 inch blade, 4 inch handle, and the handle is clearly longer than the blade.

Yeah, I believe they reversed the numbers.

I don't know, seems like someone's just reinvented the Buck 110. As for the steel:
Thyssen Krupp 1.4116
aka NIROSTA (R) 4116
Code Name X 50 CrMoV 15

.45 to .55 C
14 to 15 Cr
0.5 to 0.8 Mo
0.1 to 0.2 V

In other words, nothing special.

Yeah, it is 110-ish, but I like the wood color and nickel finish better.

Looks a bit out of balance when open, like the blade widens out some. I still like it though.

I don't know if I want to spend $80 for something a lot like 420HC, though.

Spyderco offered steels like AUS-6 and AUS-8 for three-digit-MSRPs, so nothing new here.

But I think the knife is more of a gimmick in the sense that people who already have the Wüsthoff Ikon kitchen knives can have a similar looking folder.
