Because I just had the idea, this weekend coming up is May 1st and finally I made it for a week....Hey if you want to participate great..I'm not an official spokesperson for Spyderco Inc. Just thought this would be a fun way to honour the Knives and company we love so much...lets not get all bent out of shape over this...this is not a mandate, or an official calendar holiday or even law...If you have a festival to celebrate, terrific, if you want to celebrate Unions, Socialists and Communism, fine go ahead no one is stopping you...I just wanted to celebrate Spyderco knives for a week, and carry them without carrying any other knives made by anyone else....Kinda like a Spyderco appreciation week...you want to appreciate it all year long terrific...I am going to rotate my EDC carry everyday for a week, to give some of my older models a chance at pocket time, and to reflect why I bought them and appreciate them once again...That is all...want to join me in the idea great...if not have a great week, no big deal.....Maybe I should have just called the title of the thread Spyderco appreciation week, probably would have been a better title....Guess when I added the word "World" to the title it suddenly became political...at the time when thinking a title for thread I was trying to think of a way not to leave anyone on the outs who wanted to celebrate with me.....Think it's a silly idea...well then I don't know what to say....Doc :D

I'm not a socialist, anarchist or communist and I still celebrate May 1st, it's a holiday in Argentina. We honour honest workers, whatever their political ideas might be.

Anyway, I'm down for an all Spydie week. Most of my EDC folders are Spydercos anyway, and I'm pretty sure I can survive with my Temperance 2 and Moran for my fixed blade needs (although this would be the perfect excuse for a new Aqua Salt or Street Beat...).

On May 1st I'll carry a Tasman (left pocket) and a Paramilitary (right pocket).

Aside from my SAK and Multitools, I only carry and use Spydercos - so I'm in.

- best wishes, Jazz.

As others have noted not really anything out of the ordinary :) I carry a spydie everyday! :)

But I will do a "Spyderco Only" week :) (hate to give up my PT and SnG for a week but it won't be so bad ;) )

Good idear to designate it though :D

Like some others have mentioned, It's Spydie week for me about
ever week anyway :) I carried my Endura almost everyday for over
a year, and now I've been carrying my Caly Carbon for the last
2 weeks since I got it.

I already carry a Spydie on a regular basis, so it would be appropriate to pick one of my safe queens for this event, right? Now what would it be, the CF Delica or the CF S30V Millie? Or maybe the Shabaria, or the blue Lum...

Meerkat
Tenacious
Native 4

- i carry all of them quite often, but for there are some other brand knives I carry too I guess a "Spyderco only" week is fun. Replace my Leathermans and Vics with a Spyderench for EDC too ;)

You know it's a funny thing..I couldn't decide what I would wear on wed. of this upcoming week...Now I know...It will be three Ronins....only....I just got word yesterday that my Brother-In-Law passed away and I'll be attending his funeral on wed. When I have to wear a suit and tie...it's my usual carry.....Doc :D
