Incredible Customer Service!

#1

Post by bk1 »

Hi everyone,
I am sure that most of you who have dealt with Spyderco for a while know this but I am a newbie.
I recently sent my Nav 2 SE in to get sharpened. Admittedly I did a very poor job on it and was hoping that they would get it back to shape for me.
To my surprise when I spoke to Amanda they found the lock to be defective and decided to send me a new knife. No questions asked.
Now that is service!
I now have my new Nav 2 and couldn't be happier!
Thanks Amanda!
:)
Bill
PS Plan on leaving the sharpening for the experts in the future.

Don't leave the sharpening to experts, be one yourself. Buy a Sharpmaker! :)

It's always good to hear a satisfied customer. :)

Also, all you need is a Sharpmaker and practice. Trust me, it is worth it in the long run. ;)

A Sharpmaker is definately in my future plans.

Enjoy your "new" knife ;)

BK - If you are smart enough to own such a good knife as a Nav 2 you are definately smart enough to very easily master the Sharpmaker very quickly. It really works! It is easy! It is very affordable considering your great-great grandchildren will still be using it many years from now. It works on both plain and serrated knives and many other tools.

I know you can do it!

Actually I am smarter than you think :) . I have 2 Nav 2's (SE and PE) and 1 Nav Almite :) - That way I can switch them off and not have to sharpen them that much.
I was stupid with my first one and will never use a dremel on any of my knife's again. : :(
Since I don't know how to leave a good thing alone I will put off sharpening for a while. These things are so sharp I am sure they won't need any sharpening for a while.
I will practice on some old knives when I get my Sharpmaker before touching a :spyder:
Thanks for your support.

I couldn't do without a sharpmaker here in Europe

If I send the knife in for sharpening and Spyderco sends the knife back via UPS, I have to pay a Delica on taxes to the UPS

And the sharpmaker is real easy after some practice.

If I can do it with my motoric skills  , everybody can :D

A Dremel???

As for C/S, this is just the tip of the Iceberg... You should see the way they dealt with my problems... I wanted to take a trip to Golden just to kiss the spydercrew...!!!

Hmmm. I'll have to email again. I had emailed about a clip, but haven't heard anything yet. I know they stay busy. :)
