Fake Manix 2 LWs on Ebay?

There seems to be an influx of fake Manix 2s on ebay from several new sellers. They even let you pick between Maxamet, S90V, and BD1N all for the same to good to be true price. They all look to be the new screw construction. The S90V should only be available pinned right?

Both the Maxamet and the S90V are / were pin-construction only models as far as I know. The S90V one was a Cutlery Shoppe exclusive, too.

And here I thought FRCP handles were difficult to make or fake...they require an expensive mold, no?

Should look like this...no curve on the CPM S90V lettering, and notice the top of the 'y' in 'Spyderco' doesn't rise above the top of the other letters in the authentic knife:

Saw these recently also. The magnacut fake has silver hardware instead of black which was the initial giveaway other than the absurdly low price.

These are all brand new accounts, seemingly* spread around the country.

I'm often looking for older, out of production Spyderco knifes on eBay (CTS-XHP Manix 2 Lightweight for example). eBay's algorithm know this, so they often put up Ads that pertain to my searches. This 'flood' of "Manix 2" lightweights just started popping up Monday morning, for me.

I picked up 2 screw construction Maxamet lightweights at the last Seconds Sale, so I know they have been changed over.

Man I feel sorry for the suckers who are buying fake Manix LWs. They're going to be surprised at how bendy their "Maxamet" and "Magnacut" and "S90V" is.

And I'm taking personal offense to these counterfeits...the Manix LW is one of my favorite knives.

• Black hardware on the Salt aside, you can (once again) see the 'y' in "Spyderco" rises slightly above the top of the p and the d on either side, on the counterfeit knives--a sort of "jumping Y" on the fakes.
  
  The r-c-o is more spaced out on the counterfeit Salt. The "c" appears to be tilted downward on the Maxamet.
  
  On both the fakes below, you can see the choil "nub" is a little rounded on the sides, whereas an authentic Manix nub is sharp and flat on the sides.
  
  The nub is a little differently shaped--more of a symmetrical half round on the real deal, but asymmetrical and a tad flattened on the fake.
  
  On the fake, the edge grind is more obtuse (or at least has a smaller grind line).
  
  The plunge line is softer/blends more on the fake, and sharper on the real Manix.

eBay is unconcerned and will not enforce. I reported several of the counterfeits, and for each report, received this reply:

I made a post about this on Reddit a little while back because of how they just showed up on Ebay. I looked around and I couldn't find any fake Manix 2 Maxamets and S90Vs so I was a bit confused. Plus I've never seen clones come in a real looking box with the grey stripe (clones usually have black stripe on the lid) that come with an actual Spyderco sticker. So I assumed whoever is making these fakes are new. I didn't get many replies so I kind of just left it. I didn't even think to post it here. Smh. I'm glad someone did!

The good news is, that the 'Feedback' section for this Seller is letting potential Buyers know what is going on, and this Seller has been quickly knocked back to a 91.7% Rating, which is a pretty poor reflection in the eBay community.
