Police PIG

#1

Post by Johnycat »

I have a 1st edition of the Police knife with the pig on it. I know only 2200 were made. I have a right hand one. Can anyone tell me what it is worth. I did carry it for a couple of years back in the late 80s. It has some handling marks on it but not abused. Unable to upload pictures. to large of file.

Using the eBay “sold” search, I found one that fetched $950 4 days ago. It’s going to be quite the niche market for a collectors piece 35 year old knife in that price range. That seems like an exceptional price but depending on condition, it still comes down to whatever someone’s willing to pay.

final got a set of pictures that would upload. Not as clear as I would like them to be but they uploaded.

Thanks Hopsbreath for that information. I will have to look at ebay and see what is on there.

It's kinda funny, i have the C07STI, made in less numbers than the PIG still almost everyone's grail is the more common (relatively) PIG model :smlling-eyes

I've seen pristine PIGs fetch $1200 to $1500 at auction. It took me 15 years, but I picked up a plain and a serrated for about $800 total. The PE seem to be less common than the SE.

There was a vendor at the gun show that had one that was sharpened on a curb! He wanted 1300.00 and said he know what he has! I said ok thank you and walked away! There was a run of like 4 of them the last two months on eBay! It’s a sellers market it seems.
