What Spyderco is in your pocket today??
Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??
Just dyed the scales on my Maxa-Manix. So I had to carry it today. It was a little nerve wracking doing the dye job since it's the riveted model. Had to do it with the blade in. I made sure to oil the blade and pivot before starting. Then placed the knife over a heater vent to dry it. It seems to have worked out. No rust. And I prefer the dark brown over the grey.

You can remove the blade from riveted models. Just undo the pivot screw and take it all out.Pacu0420 wrote: ↑Wed Feb 14, 2024 4:54 pmJust dyed the scales on my Maxa-Manix. So I had to carry it today. have you done this? it's a good way to break your frcp because of the pivot hardware extending into the handle.Paul Ardbeg wrote: ↑Thu Feb 15, 2024 2:50 amYou can remove the blade from riveted models. Those look awesome. I just got the same ones. Haven’t decided on a blade yet.

I don’t really pay too much attention to Salts, but this is a great shot, and that’s a great selection of knives!
I'm happiest with Micarta and Tool Steel.
