So, it’s one of the earliest but also the most recent - makes complete sense.

No offense Nick but it’s your answers like that that make me not want to post in this forum anymore.
Answers that clarify the context of why he referred to it as a most recent offering? He acknowledged you were correct in pointing out it was also offered earlier, then clarified why he called it recent. If you're seeing something offensive there, you're reading way too far into it.

I appreciate Nick's posts and his sharing of Spyderco knowledge and history. I also read a lot of your posts and appreciate yours for the same reason. It would be a shame if either one of you posted less because of some weird passive aggressive issue going on, so I hope you both continue to participate.

Here's a thing...

Spyderco cannot support ALL the health and mental societies..........we can actually donate to the charity or health awareness society with our own money at any time. As often as we want. When we want, As much or as little as we want...

Just saying... :cheap-sunglasses

I agree 100%, but whatever people want, and whatever Spyderco decides to do is on Spyderco. Naturally. I'll support whatever I can, when I can, but my pockets are not deep. The knives can be marketed to the organizations involved, and I am pretty sure whatever is manufactured will sell.

I am not trying to get in anyone's grill here, just participating in the conversation. I have a form of schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder type 1, depressive. Haven't had a setback for over 13+ years. No problems currently because I am not under stress and monitor the illness carefully with a Dr, so no need to worry about me. There are a lot of folks that would be interested in a schizophrenia knife, but I have no idea what logo they use....I do not get involved. NAMI is one of the orgs. I worked on and was able to cope with and fix my own problems. Not everyone can deal with whatever they face and some of these problems are not something ONE PERSON can work through, sometimes it takes a team of people.

I have several degrees and am considered high functioning and communicate with specialists, psychiatrists about everything, meds included. Some cannot.

I do not mean to make this about me. Everyone is involved.
I support the 2nd Amendment Organizations of GOA, NRA, FPC, SAF, and "Knife Rights"

I think this is a great idea! I mean the forum is one place for ideas, so why not see what support for different causes can come of it. What better one than this.

Having a child with special needs can be financially and emotionally draining. Or watching someone up close rapidly deteriorate into nothing they once were is devastating. Support is needed. Awareness is needed. And for some causes funds are needed for research. I think it is great that Spyderco has partnered with certain causes to bring even more awareness. I hope business is so great for them that they can do even more.

Hi everyone,

I have 3 kids and 2 of them have Autism. So it is a cause that is super important to me. I just stumbled upon this thread. So I found Blades we Love and had them help me come up with this design on the Manix 2. I think it turned out pretty nice.
