I hope it sports full back spring but I’m in anyway!

Just watched Eric showcase video and can confirm it is a full length backspring.
Nice G10, great steel - can’t wait for this model.

I am awaiting a drop in the exchange rate and I will buy the SPY27 in the standard model. It's in my cart. I think the G10 is a great idea, but I want to look it over.

I’d like to get a uk penknife if they make again with the hollow grind and drop point blade, linen micarta instead colorful plastic would be nice too

This is going to be one of those perfect in every way knives to me. Will probably end up buying more than one just to hoard in case it ever gets disco'd in the future.

Nice, a full length backspring makes it much nicer feeling, the HH UKPK is one of my favourites

Funnily enough, I placed an order for a pair of standard UKs in SPY27, two days before this video/SHOT Show. I'm sure at some point I wouldn't mind upgrading to the G-10, if price permits. I believe the "plastic" base model was good value at $98.

Re: UKPK in Spy27 & G10 at Shot Show
It is great that a g10/spy27 ukpk is in the works. People who live in areas with ridiculous laws need all the choices they can get. And the ukpk is a great knife even if you don't have silly laws.
Side note: I've noticed before and once again in this thread that some people find fiberglass and nylon (frn) unacceptable or denigrate it because it's plastic but fiberglass and resin (g10) is just great. To prefer one over the other is fine and normal, but to dismiss one because "it's plastic" seems silly to me because they are both plastic.

Which video is this? I didn't see it in George, David, or TC's video.
Found it. It's the DLT Trading video.

Was really thinking of grabbing the FRN SPY27 one but will wait for the G10 model now.

Re: UKPK in Spy27 & G10 at Shot Show
I love how Eric is dropping different preveals in different vendor shot show videos. It's kinda brilliant and is driving me to go find them all. It's really driving engagement, at least for me.
I like both the FRN UKPKs and the G-10 ones. I have a SPY27 FRN one. I do prefer the full spine G-10 one mainly for the nicer looks.

Re: UKPK in Spy27 & G10 at Shot Show
I love the way the UKPK FRN balances over the middle finger, making it neutral. I don't like back weighted as much on a small pocket knife. I know it makes the blade more "lively" but this is not a sword. I am certainly interested in the G10, as it would be nice upgrade.

Looking forward to the G10 UKPK in Spy27. I currently have 3 FRNs and no Spy27, so 'check' and 'check'.

It doesn't have liners, so micarta is a no go for this model.Tristan_david2001 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 26, 2024 8:50 amI’d like to get a uk penknife if they make again with the hollow grind and drop point blade, linen micarta instead colorful plastic would be nice too

Re: UKPK in Spy27 & G10 at Shot Show
It seems to work just fine for many aftermarket custom scale makers. But I wouldn’t mind buying an frn version and getting aftermarket scales. But I do think the uk penknife is very attractive with that hollow grind, leaf or drop point. hoping for more hollow ground uk’s.TkoK83Spy wrote: ↑Sat Jan 27, 2024 9:52 amIt doesn't have liners, so micarta is a no go for this model.Tristan_david2001 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 26, 2024 8:50 amI’d like to get a uk penknife if they make again with the hollow grind and drop point blade, linen micarta instead colorful plastic would be nice too
