RFP - Bestech Swordfish in glorious magnacut (4" blade, I think atlantic knife still has them on sale for 90 bucks, or they have cheaper models if one were so inclined, with lesser steels)
LFP - Honey Badger large serrated Claw. great little knife, almost the size of a Spyderhawk, just with a flipper. Pretty inexpensive, I think 40ish bucks currently.
refreshing seeing a Helle! I loved their knives back around the mid 2000's but have drifted away from traditional scandis over the years. Seeing yours is making me want to pick another one up.

This one is the best I've ever handled, Vivi
Full tang too
(Although not hardly as sharp as ones past) but that's easily remedied
Every time I see the Recon 1, I regret selling mine
Well Paul I just found one on Atlantic Knife for $99 and free shipping so I couldn’t resist…got the OD green/black combo…between you, Vivi and others touting this knife just figured I couldn’t go wrong
My one and only Hinderer. I was so underwhelmed by the weak detent on it that I never considered getting a second one. The fact that they are crazy expensive when they reach my country also lessened my enthusiasm for them.
They significantly increased the detent strength in the models with steel interfaces. I've owned at least a half dozen, and they've all been 7/10 or stronger.
My XM24 was the strongest detent I've ever experienced, out of the box. It took 2 years of regular use before I could reverse flick it.
I actually prefer the non-steel insert versions, though. They changed the overall geometry of the interface.
The XM18 I have is the newer version with steel interface. The first time I grabbed it, I tried slow rolling it open. It was at Blade Show, and I don't like blasting out new for sale models at the booth. I didn't realize the only way to open it is to flick it open. Very strong detent and that thing fires!
