Kapara with either a liner or frame lock, or even back lock.
...
... another one I totally agree on!
I think a backlock and the Kapara blade would not fit into the exact current handle, but a linerlock would improve that knife by a lot already imo.
Pair it with grippy Micarta- or FRN scales, and it could even challenge the Endura for me...

Re-issue of the Phil Wilson designed Sprig in the same S90V steel, but pushed up to the hardness that Phil would prefer, and ground very thin behind the edge. I rather liked the original handle and sheath, to be honest, so no need to make any more changes to it.
Otherwise, my CPM 15V PM2 has turned out to be an excellent "dream knife" for the part of me that is a pure steel nerd. If there's anything I'd change about it, it would only be that it would be ground to about .010-.012" behind the edge from factory.
I am glad there is another fellow on this forum who appreciates thin bte blades. I would be happy if they ground all spydies bellow 0.020” from the factory… starting with the PM2 family.

Would like to see the Caribbean in any form of a sprint that breaks it out of the Salt designation. If the PM2 can be a Salt let's give the Caribbean a chance to not be and really shine. Stainless or not s90v, Spy27, Rex45, k390, k490, CruWear would all make for an excellent knife.
Would also like sprints of the Lil Temperance LW in the same vein.
I would dearly love Spyderco to produce a knife that used all the best bits of their history of innovations (eg opening holes, lightweight FRN handles, pocket clips, new steels etc) but left aside some of their [to me] frustrating design philosophy (choils and proportionally small cutting edges). So what would that look like?
Probably a bit like a Delica 5 if I had my way. It would have a 4 to 4.5" palm-swell handle with no choil or other faux-ergonomic aids. A flat or high sabre-ground blade that maxed out the available space to give somewhere close to 3 to 3.25" of cutting edge. Preferably in MagnaCut but SPY27 or similar would be fine too. I appreciate it's not the most exciting knife ever but it would do pretty much everything I need a folding knife to do.
Changing the Pacific Salt over to a palm-swell handle pattern and adding MagnaCut into the mix would also be most welcome.

I want to say the original but since I haven’t owned the new version yet I cannot say for sure. I do know that I would love a 15V version of the original.

I like variety far too much for that...and I have several types of knife niches that are important in my life.
Certainly I have small suggestions for improving favorite models and series.
Deleting Seki- City wiggle?
Longer SpydieChef 2?
Thinner behind the edge grinds on many models?
Murray Carter series, thinner behind the edge?
But really I am just happy that Spyderco does what they do. Otherwise I might be stuck with only Victorinox and Kershaw or Gerber folders and Henkels or other makers Japanese kitchen knives (of which there are many exquisite choices).
Anyhow, just here to appreciate all that Spyderco does deliver, and how it does... Including this forum.
Thanks, all! Especially Sal, Gail, Eric, the Golden cutlers and all the partner manufacturers.
My dream Spyderco would be a collaboration with a design of my own.
I'd be interested... but should this Mushroom Spydie happen to be a comp.lock knife I'd ask for the small favor to also offer it in a linerlock version, just for me...
