I wonder if Seki MagnaCut is possible at all right now? What I mean is there are limitations to exporting MagnaCut. I know China is off-limits, don't know about other asian countries though. However, so far, there were only knives from USA and Europe released.

Doesn anyone know how that limitation works in detail?

Also, potentially, MagnaCut could be even cheaper than LC200N - on AKS MagnaCut is about half the price of LC200N
Sal said in another thread that MagnaCut would be getting to Seki. However, based on what he also said in this thread about the factory being snowed under, sadly it probably won't be any time soon. https://forum.spyderco.com/viewtopic.p ... 1#p1710261

Personally, I wish Spyderco would ditch some sprint runs to make space in production for this steel. It's got such great potential and I fear other companies are stealing a march on Spyderco by getting in first.

Not unless it’s lined like the artful Caribbean.

While my original Stretch2 XL amazes me for its lightness, I much prefer a less flexible Spydie.

In MagnaCut? Why not?

Is the lightweight Stretch XL handle more or less flexible than a Pacific Salt?

My personal ideal for a Stretch XL Salt is linerless FRN, but I’m not sure if thicker FRN has a significant affect on the amount of flex.

Speaking of personal wants. An XL Salt could get a variation with the original drop point and a name that references the Spyderco Pro Venator.
For example, “Venator Salt”.

Maybe the handle could also reference “old-school Spyderco” in form of Titanium inlaid with textured FRN or G10 (or just Titanium).
That would be one way to get a less flexible handle, at least.

Hi Vivi,

I just received my production ample of a Stretch 2 XL Salt, serrated edge in H2, in yellow. I've been carrying and using it for several days and I really like it. I think you will really like this knife. If you get one, let us now what you think? If you don't like it, I'll buy it back from you.

Sal,

I will give the PE a shot and see how I like it compared to my Pacific Salts! To be honest I've been anticipating the Native Chief Salt more, but this would give me a good excuse to test out H2!

i want to try this one in pe too. it will be my first h1/h2 in pe and my first h2.

i really can't decide between the chief and this s2xl. they both seem great to me, but i find the stretch more visually appealing because it appears to have more spyderco dna than the chief. my ultimate will still be the manix salt, but i want a larger blade salt as well, so i'll probably try both of these.

I agree a blacked out variant would be my first choice , but will go yellow for science . 🥸 Dan

I'm gonna grab a yellow PE and do another rasta dye. My first one gets a lot of compliments when I carry it, it's a fun color scheme.

I'll do a head to head with the Chief Salt when they become available to see which model is going to take the torch from my Pacific Salts. I expected to prefer the Chief but the Stretch XL is a really nice design too.

Yes, if FFG Magnacut. No, if saber grind H2.
Very impressed by the 3.0 oz weight, that's amazing.

Though I don’t have any plans on purchasing one, I I do like the looks of this design quite a bit. Probably my second favorite xl folder design next to the c54.
