Cerakoted my 15v Mule

Regardless, seeing how good your black on black on black mule looks, and now I'm thinking about it again. I have a T15 and K294 that would probably be good candidates, as the satin-like finish on those models is rather coarse and I have noticed a little more spotting on those.

I think the 15V is stonewashed. Bead blasting reduces corrosion resistance because it increases surface area, so there are more nooks and crannies for moisture to adhere to.

In France me and my friend found a place that would cerakote a full Valloton for 68€. I guess a Mule would be cheaper (this answer is just to give a ballpark until someone answers truthfully)

On a rifle I did some parts in Duracote. It's similar to Ceracote, but it comes in a rattle can. It went on nicely, laid out flat, and it's still unblemished. One kit cost me about $50, and it's enough to do a LOT of knifes. The caveat is that the product doesn't last long after you initially shake up the can.

So my Mule, Shaman blade, Ti scales, and the shaman clip/screws/interior plates were $75 all together. That's full price with no buddy hook up. So I don't think just a Mule would cost more than $30. It will most likely hurt collector/resell value but I don't care as I plan on using mine regularly.

I wonder if it's some sort of two-part epoxy that can be sprayed? From your descrip, it sounds like some sort of catalyst action is going on...

It is a two-part product. You can buy it in individual cans for use in your spray gun, but I chose the simplicity of the rattle can. There's a little widget inside the can that contains the hardener. Once you mix it up, it's best to use it soon. It won't last on the shelf.
