There's some good links if you want to read up on corrosion resistance. I'm pretty hard on my knives in that respect. Hot climate + physically active + working in hot & humid environments.
Thanks, vivi. I appreciate it. I always want to learn and there is much about Spyderco and steels I don't know yet.

If I’m going to have to limit my Spydercos, then; I’m going to really limit them to just Two:

Delica
Endura

When I was using knives a lot more than I am atm, it made sense to me to have a small and large version of the same knife.

A smaller knife for pocket carry most of the time, and a larger one for those jobs that called for it.

There is something to using the same knives all the time promoting familiarity and proficiency.

It’s been nice getting to know different Spydercos and having them in the collection, but beyond having a couple? It’s an indulgence.

I’m not getting rid of any. I enjoy rotating through. But, once I think about it beyond Two: it’s just not necessary, so; the difference between Five and, let’s say, Fifty is not that much philosophically.

The tough call would be which Delica and which Endura.
100% agree with this. Only difference for me is that I prefer the Salt and Pacific Salt. Same argument though.

Stretch 2 Magnacut (with the original curved upper blade, not the same blade shape as every other knife) - currently not available

Delica4 S30V (quite happy with what I have)

Shaman S30V (quite happy with what I have)

PM2 Salt Magnacut - I'm waiting (somewhat) patiently

Harpy Plainedge with G10 handles - yes, I know it doesn't exist

I know the qualification was models that Spyderco actually produced, so I kept it to those models while elaborating as to what could be done to them for inspiration sake.

Well, this isn't actually a hard question for me, as I only own 4 of them at the moment.

Manix 2 lightweight S110V
Delica
Endura
Native 5

I'd probably rotate the last one to try new things.

It took a while and a new arrival, but I've finally figured out an only 5 (for now). It's this set:
Image
The Chap is the easy favorite of this group, but the Lil' Temp 3 sometimes edges the Native 5 for second. It's a beast of a small knife.

Civilian
Cruwear Ayoob SE
Police SS PE
Pac. Salt 1 SE
Police 4 PE K390

Surprisingly easy choice to make!

A beast for sure, but, magically, not entirely little.

I didn't mean to imply it is 'little' by any means. It is certainly not tiny/small in the sense of the Chap or (probably) Ladybug, Manbug, etc., which I do not yet have. It's relative, of course. I'm thinking of comparisons of the Lil' Temp against similar handle/blade lengths. The handle forward design gives it more and bigger blade exposure (no choil) and a beefier handle, while not being substantially longer overall. At least, this is the impression I get from it. Here are some of the comparisons I was thinking of:

vs Para 3

vs Delica 4

Fortunate to own all of them. The Sage narrowly pushes out the PM2. And I’m currently loving the Kapara, but not enough time with it for it to make the list.

In hindsight I think it would have been fun to have formatted the top 5 in a little more detail. Such as:
full size folder
mid size folder
Small gents folder
mid size fixed blade
large size fixed blade
Which I think are the general categories most knife junkies are most interested in

Ill preface this by saying i work in a marine environment and my knives get a lo t of use daily from cutting heavy rope, tubing and fiberglass to scraping barnacles (back of blade),and opening shackles and turning screws. These are my most used

Atlantic salt h1/h2 serrated
Pacific salt 2 LC200N plain edge
Salt 2 H1/H2 wharncliffe full serrated
Native 5 Salt Magnacut plain edge
Delica 4 VG10 comboedge

The atlantics by far my most used, id bump it for a version with titanium or syainless scales so i dont chew the shackle key so much. Upcoming stretch2sxl salt serrated really interests me too. This all said i love all my spydercos
