That’s great, Spyderco always seems to go out of their way to take care of all their customers. Now if they would only give me a 5 second head start if there is another second sale… last one did not go so well for me.

Hi Jabba! Nice haul for sure! At this point about the only factory second I'd be interested in would a be a Drunken. I looked for them in the online seconds sale but they weren't listed. I'm curious to know how much they sold for?
$315 for the Drunken.

All I can figure is that it's because of this weird, hazy finish on the blade. The rest of the knife is flawless as far as I can tell. Since it's a second and I want to carry and use it anyway, I don't really care about it having a slight haze. I tried cleaning it with alcohol, but it looks like it's a flaw in the finish, as if the stonewash medium didn't quite do its job right there.

Now 393 with a "spyderco second" search on eBay...and +343 recently sold. Clearly, Spyderco "leaves a lot of money on the table" at the seconds sale, with a resell profit margin for buyers that makes flipping worth the effort. Interesting to watch!

Thanks Kyle. That's about what I figured and aligns with what I paid for my Paysan in the online seconds sale a few years ago and what they were charging in the recent online sale. Drunken is one of the only Spyderco models I'd like to have but I'm too cheap to buy it at full price lol

Some nice scores I see. I couldn't get there til kinda late. The line was much longer than last year but I managed to get in and most of my shopping was confined to the atrium because the shop itself was still packed and I had to get out quick to make an appointment.

I confined most of my buys to rather inexpensive models but did score this beauty ZDP Endura and a replacement Cru-Carta PM2 for the one I lost earlier this year. Got many to give away as gifts and they were all well received! I walked away with 20 knives and 2 sharpening stones.
