I personally use to have to go to NFL Game, and Training Camp for work. I saw some antics by player that turn me off to the NFL years ago.

Yes if I go some place where an NFL game is on I might watch, but do not go out of my way to have much to do with the NFL. We have local NFL Team Name for big shot in Catholic Church they are never in contention of going to Super Bowl, because they have cheap talent that don't play as team.

Same here, big fan of Bill Parcells. He basically brought the Patriots back to being a respectable team. He was a phenomenal coach and just an entertaining person. Also, I know Belichick wouldn’t be the coach that he is without the influence of Bill Parcels.

That ESPN 30 for 30 with the tales of the two Bill's, I believe it was called. Great documentary, highly recommend looking that up.

Halftime - The Lions are playing great on both sides of the ball! Much better than I expected and they’re definitely in this game. Their fake punt while backed up behind their own 20 was classic Dan Campbell aggressive style. To the contrary, the Chiefs aren’t playing the game I expected from them. Less explosive on offense than I was expecting and their defense is giving the Lions a lot of yards. Missing Kelce and Jones really highlights how valuable they are to their respective sides of the ball.

I have to wonder though, are the refs allowed to call false start on the Chiefs or not? Is that part of their Patrick Mahomes privilege? :grin-squint I saw at least four obvious false starts from their gigantic right tackle (#74) that got missed somehow. Two or three of them were on their last drive of the first half too, which they scored on! :thinking I really hope the refs don’t end up being one of the biggest stories of the season again.

But anyway, good game so far and it should be a good second half too.

The false starts on the Chiefs right tackle are almost comical at this point. I’ve lost count at this point but if you watch him, you’ll see one eventually because it keeps happening. It’s painfully obvious too but not being called. Collinsworth has even mentioned it a couple times but he’s just giving him credit for it as if it’s not a penalty.

Edit ten minutes later - These ignored calls are SO BAD!!! :exploding-head They’re making the favoritism way too obvious. We all know who’s going to win this game but not because one team is clearly better than the other. This game was decided in a meeting room in New York three months ago. :vomit

I’m very impressed with the Lions in this game. Their offense is cooking tonight and their defense has done a decent job containing Mahomes. I know they’ve noticed the false starts and illegal formations not being called but they’re just powering through it! Good for them.

Kadarius Toney played a horrible game. I truly suspect he must be on nose candy. Three of his incompletions were completely inexcusable. The Running Backs were abysmal at best. The entire group of Chief's receivers were deplorable,

If they don't ink a new deal with Chris Jones very soon I doubt if the Chiefs will even be playing "500 ball" by the Bye Week. I can't believe that Andy Reid has let the team get this far out of hand. If they lose to the Jags next week I doubt if they make the playoffs this year.

On the other hand I've got to give Dan Campbell credit because he has done a great job with the Lions thus far. He certainly deserved the victory.

That gutsy 4th down call by Campbell, have to respect that! Especially where they were on the field, and that early in the game.

Hey, absolutely no shame in losing to Jacksonville next......I sure would have bet that KC would have lost to tye Jags way before the Lions.
Jacksonville is a very dangerous team.
When they signed Doug Pederson as their HC, I was so relieved for Trevor Lawrence
So, don't sweat that if it happens Joe. The Jags are one of the better teams in the league
When the Chiefs lose to the Cardinals, then you can hit the panic button lol...
Chiefs are gonna be just fine.
Detroit just played a great game last night. It was a very, very, narrow defeat as well. Not like KC was blown out.

Sorry MAC: I have to respectfully disagree with you. Even though the Lions only beat the Chiefs by one point that doesn't even begin to show how horribly the Chiefs played overall last night. The receiving corps were absolutely disgraceful. Mahomes had virtually no support at all with everything considered. It was a truly sickening, disgraceful loss any way you carve it up.

In spite of Kelce and Chris Jones being out of the game they still could have won it if they had simply executed a few basics.

I think they may have blown it when they passed up on getting Hopkins when they had the chance. And if Chris Jones doesn't come to some settlement soon the team just won't have the chemistry they need to win critical games. This coming game with the Jags is really a "Do or Die" situation. And I'm not optimistic at this point. Mahomes simply can't carry the entire team. There was no rhythm in the offense what so ever.

Mahomes was off on some of his throws too. Probably bc he had to be the leading rusher that night. And he took some hits after the throw. Chiefs need a running back… maybe trade for the colts disgruntled running back or is he too injured?
