Well, it looks like a wasp is already helping out with your hornworm in the first pic.

(I think wasp egg parasitism is really cool, but it seriously grosses my wife out even though she's the biologist and usually much more into the gross animal stuff than me :hushed-face )

Freezing Maters in freezer makes them easier to skin . I have know clue where daughter got info but works very well . Dan

Anyone have experience growing pumpkins before? Our little baby pumpkins keep dying on the vine. The rest of the plant looks healthy to me.

This pumpkin weighed in at 993 pounds last year at the Morton Illinois Pumpkin Festival.These Pumkins are fertilized and watered daily to reach this size besides a type of seed . Libby’s has a pumpkin canning factory and the festival is our local end of Summer event . We have hundreds of acres of Pumpkin fields in our area besides corn and soybean . That is a lot of pumpkin pies right there, unbelievable…would be a really cool festival to attend.

They even had for years pumpkin chunking competition outside of town . Different systems were used very crazy , contests were done in huge fields . I will,if I can find one . I knew members of two teams .
