Are colors coming for Stretch 2XL Lightweight?

We did a run in K390 which is blue. I don't know of any other colors planned. A salt version will probably offer yellow.

I just noticed the last sentence contained the words "salt" and "yellow", so everything before that didn't register.
I'm not surprised to read that a S2XL Salt may happen, I'd actually be more surprised if it wasn't on their to-do list, but a yellow Seki salt S2XL? That is interesting indeed. I did kind of expect a potential S2XL salt to come with a flat grind like the OG, so if it's going to be flat ground and yellow...

ya'll see where I'm going with this. Or maybe Maybe I'm just reading too much into a comment that may be just a Freudian slip on Sal's part, being that all salts used to be yellow not that long. Time will show.

LOL Well its not my fault the endura effectively killed collecting for me. I had like 30ish knives and then I bought an endura, sold almost everything else, and haven't bought a knife in 7 years. This stretch 2xl though...

umm... does yellow salt mean magnacut...?

typically, yellow salts from seki are h1 or h2. however, sal is mentioning yellow specifically instead of yellow, black, and green, and he has also mentioned that magnacut would make it to seki.

i've been waiting for the green lc200n stretch 2 xl to come out before buying one. i wonder if we might see a magnacut version though. honestly, i'd be happy with either.

he said "we did a run" though and that makes me think he's referring to the stretch 2 and not the xl, since there's not already a k390 xl run out.

It turned out I love FRN, like my knives as light as possible, and skinny in the pocket. It also turned out that if it felt too "premium" (carbon scales, even g10), that I wouldn't grab it over the FRN. It needs to feel like its meant to be used. I know there are other FRN models but nothing offered the blade length to weight like the endura, until now. The only thing I could see myself possibly collecting at this point is the enduras in different colors or the stretch 2 xl if I end up liking it, though with prices on everything going up it's unlikely.

I'd take any color - my favorites of the spydercos are the orange, teal, and purple, but the yellow, green, blue, whatever is all good with me I just prefer a more playful/safety feel to my knives these days than hardcore/military vibe. The only color I probably wouldn't buy is brown.

I think your broad question was referring to a baseline of VG-10 and the colored FRN handles, a la Delica, Endura. To be honest, it seems that VG-10 just isn't worth the level of investment at this time to offer more colors whilst keeping VG-10 as the baseline steel.

I've asked for a LW CRUWEAR variant (in the gray FRN that was run in the CRUWEAR Delica sprint ~2018; the DLT DLC/OD Green would be fine too).

sal mentioned that the SXL was coming in K390 (along with the CRUWEAR G-10 that has already released, AND a TBA sprint run in SPY27), years ago when the knife was an infant. These will obviously all feature different colors. Your best bet is to express your interest in exactly what you would like to see, as an overall package (e.g., LC200N Salt/Neon Green FRN, CRUWEAR/Gray FRN, ZDP-189/British Green FRN, etc.).

I hope there are more Stretch2XL on the way. I have sadly seen big knives struggle over the years. This is a stellar design that I would eagerly spend more money on.
