If I were a player like Jones, & KC where anywhere close, I'd sign. In a heartbeat.
To get to play with Mahomes & all them means the very real chance of getting another Ring.
If it were say the Browns, I'd hold out for every last red cent 😎
Unfortunately I think Chris Jones has taken a line from the old 1980s movie "Wall Street". When the nefarious character Gordon Gekko said "GREED IS GOOD, GREED WORKS". Yep!! I do believe that Chris Jones has adapted that philosophy hook, line & sinker.

I predict that if a deal isn't done between Chris Jones and the Chiefs very soon I do believe he won't be wearing a Chief's uniform come September. This doesn't look good for Kansas City fans. I do hope I'm wrong but I've got a bad feeling.

I read that the Bears are going to use their 🐻 logo on the helmets instead of the C. Which do y’all prefer?

I heard they will still be using the wishbone C logo on their helmets. Apparently there is a distinction between a primary and secondary team logo and they’re switching the Bear head to be their primary logo. I think it was mostly a marketing move for social media and merchandising.

I prefer the wishbone C - it's just so iconic.
But, I reckon its a moot point?
As long as the helmets are the same?
If I read that correctly, we will see the Bear in advertising mostly?

I know what ya mean. They are boring.
Thinking about it, I think it would be neat for everyone team to do something different every once in a while.
Some of those alternative helmets they show on Facebook are really nice!

Lol! He’s infamous in New England! (Maybe New York too) His touchdown catch is why we know his name but the trouble he got himself afterwards is why we remember him! 🔫 :grin-squint

For me though, nothing will ever haunt me as much as David Tyree’s helmet catch. That play took a piece of my soul with it! I can still remember screaming at the TV to sack Eli… just the worst! Plaxico’s touchdown catch doesn't happen without the most improbable, most miraculous throw and catch of all time happening just moments before it.

Yeaaa, unfortunately Plaxico wasn't exactly the best role model off the field, for various reasons, but I appreciated him on the field!

Tyree is a local legend now being from Syracuse, which is about a 10 minute drive from where we live. Always a solid special teams guy, who just so happened to come through with a top 5 catch of all time! Funny how we will both ALWAYS remember that catch and play in general...but with completely opposite emotions in those moments!

Just heard through what I consider a pretty reliable source that Chris Jones has just turned down a huge big money deal. I heard that amount was not too far under the Aaron Donald contract ( 30 Million plus).

Chris Jones is a really good defensive player but he is still not on the level of Aaron Donald IMO. Knowing the limits to which Brett Veach ( Chief's General Manager) will go I do think that Mr. Jones is about to be traded in a big mega-buck deal in which the Chiefs will fetch maybe 3 to 4 draft picks ( similar to the Tyreek Hill trade).

Not to mention that every training camp workout that Chris Jones misses it is costing him $50,000. I've heard he's already owing the Chiefs around $800,000 for the time he had already missed in the 2023 training camp. There is obviously some really bad blood in this situation. And I'm doubtful that the Chiefs will have much of any post season without him being on the roster in this 2023 season. Some of these guys are nothing but greedy pigs. No wonder so many NFL teams can't get a well balanced roster in this era.

I don’t know why this feels like a meme but it is very real!

Patriots signing Ezekiel Elliot to a one year deal. I know he’s far from the same player he used to be but he can definitely be a productive depth player for them. It will also help give Rhamandre Stephenson some much needed rest during the games. Regardless of how it turns out, I like the signing right now.

That turns into a pretty nice combo. Plus you don't want Mac throwing the ball 50 times a game. Not a bad move there

oh wow. I'm so surprised that it's actually true!

Edit: They could have kept Damien Harris for half of that.

He’s good at getting TD’s from the 1 yd line. But he is definitely past his prime.

Right! I loved having Damien Harris on the team and I think he would’ve added more value than Zeke, at the moment. I’m happy they signed Zeke but it definitely stings a little seeing Damien Harris’ contract with Buffalo compared to what Zeke just signed with the New England.

This is just funny to me now! Pats sign Zeke and the Jets respond by signing Dalvin Cook! :grin-squint

On paper the Jets have a loaded roster but I just can’t shake the feeling that they’re still the Jets and they’re going to screw it up somehow.

It would be too funny if the Dolphins go and sign Leonard Fournette now.

Jets will definitely screw this up! What a nice offense though, especially if Breece Hall comes back healthy and pucks up where he left off. Heck, I'm finally excited for some televised Jets games!

NFL is the Top Fan Left League, they have gone way off dinosaur. Arizona Cardinals will have another bad season.
