Positron, eh? That takes me back a few years. I picked up the orange one on closeout (I think in 2015?) because I didn't have any S35VN yet. Cool little knife, matches my Spyderhawk (the one I still have).

Yes, I've ordered from BHQ before. Pretty good experiences... :winking-tongue

But seriously, I ordered from hand-tools.com once back in 2017 for the Caly 3 HAP40 sprint. I don't recall any issues and it looks like it shipped the same day (or at least they processed the order the same day). So only 1 experience, and it was uneventful. Hope that's somewhat helpful.
Lol, guess it would of helped to mention hand-tools :zany

Several of us ordered from Hand-Tools.com a couple months back. There's a thread on here somewhere. I got a D'Allara 3. No issues.
Thanks guys, good to hear. They had another knife I had my eye on but was on the fence about attempting to purchase it.

I just ordered the Positron, thanks!
I've read some concerning reviews about that dealer online. Has anyone purchased from them in the past? How was your experience?
I ordered a SE Ark from them within the past year.
No issues.

Here's a link to the Spyderco items on sale and in stock at KnifeCenter. Many are priced at 48%-55% off MSRP.

Thanks for that link - I've been looking for a Genzow HatchetHawk at a reasonable price. I know, I know - it's just a hatchet. But it's a Spyderco hatchet, looks cool and will definitely be functional, and my current hatchet is crap.

Looks like you got the last HatchetHawk for $216.38 which was 55% off MSRP!

I wish more dealers like KnifeCenter would let you filter out the out of stock items and show the percentage off MSRP.

While perusing the various dc'd sales today, I happend upon these package deals on the National Knives homepage.. depending on your definition of a "crazy good deal," they may be of interest..

Image

There are a bunch more packages than pictured here on the site, ranging from $560 to $1360ish. Hah, they still can't seem to give away those Phoenixes..

..well, that escalated quickly..

Picked up my 1st serrated, an orange Byrd Cara Cara 2 rescue on sale at $38.96….it’s $35 (delivered!) with extra 10% discount code “NeevesKnives” at WhiteMountain. Always wondered about the “seatbelt cutting” issue in an accident, so found a reason to buy another knife, LOL.

Appears to be a very good utility knife in general… cutting cords, rope, small branches, etc.

Now I’ll need to go do a rollover crash in my Tundra so I can use my $35 knife 👍

Knifeworks has added the disco'd models to their sales page, a little later than some other shops. If you're still searching for something that is already sold out elsewhere check it out.

Having responded to hundreds of crashes, the need to cut seatbelts themselves is pretty rare. Most of the time I am cutting it when we are cutting off then roof, etc. and we need to also cut everything that could hang it up like seatbelts and electrical wiring.

However, I have used "seatbelt cutters", "rescue hooks", and similar to safely cut clothing away from victims to attach defibrillators, treat injuries, etc. They are useful, but not always for seatbelts themselves.

I got an email yesterday from Rob at National Knives. He said he lowered the price for the Watu to below the (already low) price I paid for it. So he issued a store credit to me for the difference. That's good CS if you ask me.

When I looked up the Watu it was still showing as out of stock. I asked him about it and he said he expects more in soon. He's hoping later this week but it could be next

Rescue 3 Thin Blue/Red Line $77 shipped at National Knives. That’s 53% off MSRP plus free shipping and no sales tax outside Michigan.

I will add my voice to the chorus.

Rob is a stand up guy.

I think he goes through and checks the knives before he sends them, even without being asked. I had packing peanuts in one of them, just to keep the knife from moving Around. That’s going a step beyond.

Plus he includes a lovely Sky Blue microfiber towel for additional protection, and who doesn’t need microfiber towels.

Excellent all around.

Oh, and his prices are always competitive, if not class leading.
