Brewing morning coffee on the (for mountain hut standards) quite "luxurious" shelter I work for right now. Has even solar power if the weather is not really bad. But not for cooking, just for lighting, warm water and a fridge.

Goddard with me as my only knife up there.
Don't feel "underknived" at all, and miss the "teeth" of my SE folders not too much. :smlling-eyes

Top three going by pocket-time (update March 24):
- EDC: Endura thin red line ffg combo edge (VG10); Wayne Goddard PE (4V), Endela SE (VG10)
-Mountains/outdoors: Pac.Salt 1 SE (H1), Salt 2 SE (LC200N), and also Wayne Goddard PE (4V)

On that same quality of life scale, I’m currently just 1/3rd there. Enjoying my morning joe before office hours are calling once again.
Girlfriend drove off with the 4WD where I dumped my EDC when we visited Oslo. Knife laws are enforced more stringently there, so I didn’t want to take any chances. Which means after coffee I’ll have to decide which knife will stand in for my DF2 wharncliffe for this gray and rainy back to work Monday. Soon to be 2/3rds there.
The prospect of setting foot on a mountain today is pretty slim though. Non existent really. But however sad it is to see another summer vacation fade away in the rearview mirror, it also means that primary backpacking season is right around the corner. And hunting season is coming up fast. With all that anticipation and a packed backpacking/hunting schedule in the upcoming weeks I almost feel like I have one foot partly on the mountain already. So in total I figure I’ll score about 2.5/3 on Gernot’s good-life-scale today :D

That’s a great pic Dan!!! It rained pretty hard here yesterday and even though I have to reapply some Neem oil on the garden, I was able to take a few good photos, love water bead pics 👊
