One of if not the best locks out there. I'll take this over the compression lock any day. No matter what grip I use I don't notice the shark lock.

I sold my Mantra 3 for this. I love the lock. I only use the shark lock to open it, gravity style. The AUS10A is not bad, especially for daily EDC tasks. I'm getting in my head a bit right now, but I'm not going to make my money back on this build, or anywhere near, so I think I'll keep it a bit longer.

But here's a crazy idea. Any way that a Spyderco blade, modified Manix 2, or a Native 5, could work to replace the AUS10A blade?

I got one in K110 (D2) almost a year ago. The shark lock doesn't interfere with my grip when I hold the knife. I probably got a bit of a lemon as the lock neither makes the blade drop shut nor makes the blade swing open when actuated.

I rarely carry the knife as I find it a bit underwhelming, and I would without hesitation sell it to buy another Mantra 3 if the latter were still available.

Here's a neat video where he talks about designing the Shark Lock. I enjoyed hearing about the challenges involved in designing a new lock. Starts at roughly 2:05.

I still have mine but it doesn’t get carried. Whenever I get around to it I need to sell some more knives lol

Decent little knife, very fidgety. I never intended to get more than one but I got one of the early AUS10A ones and then the D2 version along with new RGT scales for each. If I didn't have so many favorite EDCs in rotation I'd probably carry it more.

I like the knife, just wish that it was at least a 4 inch blade.
