It must be fun being near the SFO. I'd probably be there every week just to hang out if I worked close by.

My first for 2023 was an oldie but goody, the 440V Chinookchinook_01.jpg
Same, I mean they make lunch breaks for a reason.

Wow, it looks good in that picture, well done. Don’t have one myself, but you have now peaked my interest.

Picked up a Rhino at the end of last year, almost looks like a mini chinook. Love the Rhino btw!

Thx! It is my favorite spydie of all time. I knew i wanted it from the first time i found a picture of it almost 20 years ago! Nearly found one after 4 years but was to late by a few minutes, then took me around 16 years after that before I finally caught this one and if i can i will never part with it again! :squinting-tongue

I also love the Reinhold Rhino its beautiful and practical!
My biggest wish for the future is to see its big brother the Rhino grande! I hope Sal makes work of this one soon as i know there is one at spyderco HQ!

I was in the right place at the right time when a local collector decided to sell his.

Your Chinook search story sounds more exciting and meaningful though.

Do wish more people would have the chance to handle this knife. It is something very different then what is made today. The quality is the same as the knives of today but the feel is well more legendary! Its not a piece of plastic with a high end steel blade. There is so much love in this knife i just do not feel it anymore in this last generation of knives.

What’s your first Spyderco in 2023?

Picked up a super blue D4 the other day. My first Spyderco (and first knife) for 2023.

Factory outlet had plenty of uniformed and non-uniformed customers when I dropped in during the lunch hour. Display cases were fairly well stocked compared to my last visit some time ago. Randall section is now almost gone so I am wondering if those are going away? Best hot apple cider in town!

I’ll be back to get the super blue D4 wharncliffe, hope they haven’t run out of hot apple cider by then!

CG
Hahahahaha! 🤣
All of them in my Signature.
