In the past i've always been staunchly in the 'would they just make an exclusive or sprint backlock model?' camp.

This one got me thought, between pricing and how much i like my other smooth G10 and CruWear models... i will finally be trying out a comp lock version of the model.

Excited to try this one out.

Great price of $126.00 for this Lil’ Native Compression Lock CruWear G-10 considering the regular production Lil’ Native Compression Lock S30V G-10 is $142.45!

Was there a Knifecenter Shaman with Cruwear and smooth G10? Google's not showing me anything on that search.

Going by the description conflict that Shmohawk highlighted, it almost appears they have the wrong price as well. To the point where I even checked to see if they priced it as per the slipjoint model ….. nope.
Regardless, it is a pleasant surprise and a pretty compelling reason to buy. Even if you are only remotely interested in the model or want a donor blade for an aftermarket project.
I hope this retailer trend continues!

Man, this one would make a great candidate for a micarta scale swap. I’m in too deep right now, though.
I'm happiest with Micarta and Tool Steel.

Top four in rotation: K390 + GCM PM2, ZCarta Shaman, Crucarta PM2, K390 + GCM Straight Spine Stretch.

Happy to see this release (and a really nice price point). Have some RGT Fat Carbon scales waiting to be swapped for the G-10 on this one!

How is the corrosion resistance on Cruwear? I tend to prefer stainless blades but this one is intriguing me.

Seems to be pretty stainless for not being a stainless steel in my short experience. Maybe comparable to CTS-XHP. On paper, not as good as the SXXV steels or things like M390 class. Of course, introduce salt and all bets are off.

CruWear is my go to for when I want a tool steel that won't corrode as easily. I haven't treated it with utter disregard like proper stainless steels, but it has held up quite well to moderate sweat and water exposure.
Because desolate places allow us to breathe. And most people don't even know they're out of breath.

CW is good to go for corrosion as long as it’s not soaking wet or in a very humid environment for several hours.

Got mine today. Super-cute and really nicely done. I have to say that the smooth G10 is *really* slick, as in slippery, especially on such a small knife. I realized when I opened the box that I was sort of expecting rounded edges on the G10, like the Shaman (which would not have helped with the slipperiness issue).

I really like the Lil' Native, even if it's a little small for practical manipulation. It has a sort of Swiss watch feel - it's really well built. Sort of like a Spyderco version of the Umfaan.

I have no idea lol. It’s a stool that my wife picked up.

Anyhoo, I’m absolutely in love with this Lil Native. It’s my first and I’m projecting that I will be carrying it a lot as it fits my edc needs.
I was conflicted between this and the KJ Lil Native. But at $30 cheaper I couldn’t turn this one down. I've never had smooth g10 before. It is quite smooth and slick but the ergos really lock it into your hand so I'm happy that I won't have to sacrifice my pockets. And for me it is grippier with wet hands so I'm not worried about that.
Blade action is drop shut with no play on mine, if thats your thing. Fit and finish on both the handle and blade seem to be poifect and obviously laser sharp otb.
A bit more gritty and grinding the I'm used to when opening and closing without the CL fully depressed but I'm sure that will break in. I oiled it a bit but didn't seem to help much. And it's really fine as is. Interesting that the other knife I thought the same thing about was a Shaman.

Really happy to have this knife.

Also, for me one of the pros of this one over the KJ is that since its black and uncoated, like most of my other knives, it lessens the likelihood of my wife realizing that I got another one :shush :zany :cheap-sunglasses
