Great idea, an FRN lightweight rookie with that aggressive swedge and pointy blade! Please do a wire clip.

But why K390. Cruwear is better for such delicate tip.

I'd be curious to handle a rookie. Looking at photos the finger grooves look too large for a single finger but too small for two. So not sure where my grip would line up.

can anyone with one post an in hand photo?

I'll pull out my pack after work and snap a few. Our hands seem to be around the same size.

Nice, except corossion part. Cruwear isn't rust proof but not easy to rust as K390.

Thank you, I appreciate it. That's about how I expected it to line up for my hand.

I don't remember seeing the Rookie in hand like that before. I really it, especially the thin, long blade. People who want long blade to handle ratio would love this one.

I just looked it up. That ratio is very similar to the Caly 3.5.

True mini-Police! Police Tie Clip, fully functional AFAIK. Screenshot from ACK site.
Thanks for saying it, for me the mini police will always be this one, or the Ti Necklace !

I'd be interested in a knife of the same profile, but a bit smaller blade (2.5mm stock like the Delica, pretty please?)
:respect In the collection :respect : Lots of different steels, in lots of different (and same) Spydercos.

Robin. Finally made an IG : ramo_knives

I'll get a Sprint in a cool steel, but only sans CQI. Otherwise I'll just enjoy what I have.

In some ways the Rookie is much better than a Delica. Thinner, more blade per handle length. I like the old school splinter picker grind as well.

Yeah. For a knife that completely escaped my attention, it does look fantastic.

Bear in mind, my hands are on the large side.

A couple of old comparison pix with Delica4s.

I know, you got some big mitts. I like the knife in those comparison pics. I hope it gets another, evolved run. I'd like LW.

4.5 years ago I was hoping the same thing. Stoked Sal might be on board!

Really hoping for a new model Rookie 2 rather than a sprint, with the features of the Police4 (FFG, choil, K390, more subtle handle grooves)

I’d be down for another run if (1) they keep the pointy tip, (2) make it screw-together vs. pinned, and (3) preferably make it in Golden, if at all possible.

Call it the "Defunded Police"
That would be a model with no blade. :winking-tongue
