I checked yesterday around 5:00 and it showed the label had been created, then this morning it's magically from Ohio to Central New York. Fine by me...it gives me an excuse to put off stacking firewood for a bit when I get home

I paid the $8 for 2 day FedEx shipping, I have lost too many things via USPS. Well it shipped yesterday but not schedule to get it until Monday. i'm trying to decide which ball cage to get with mine. i was thinking the copper might patina to closely match the blade, or i could just get the black aluminum cage. the aluminum is cheaper and doesn't change the aesthetic of the knife, which i like, but copper would be cool too. i don't really have any issues with the plastic, but after having the ti on my other manix, i definitely prefer it. it's a little wider and grippier than the plastic.

Mines half way here. I went with FED-ex though. Mine showed up this morning. It has no cosmetic flaws, and the lockup and centering are perfect.

Just read on the REC Facebook group that they ordered 1500 but on received 800 due to QC issues with the blade coating. I don't know if the other 700 will be sold off as factory seconds or if it means the Manix will be the hard one to find, demanding more money.

that's a lot of factory seconds. i would say i'd pick one up if they were available, but i'm already going to use mine, so there's no reason to pick up a cheaper one to use. maybe as a backup, i guess, but i already have other manixes.
