Oh definitely not blaming you, it seemed like a smart idea in the beginning. I honestly didn't know Vaseline had such a low melting point, I expected it to behave more like axle grease.

That's a pretty good looking mod. I'd have probably left the "guard" up by the pivot myself, but the smoothing out of the finger grooves/bumps looks excellent.

That looks really good! Sucks about the Vaseline but glad it wasn’t too bad. Thank you for posting so many pics of the process too. Not that I am going to attempt or anything. Just cool to see some of what went into your project. From thought process with a sharpie to a finished product.

😂 Man I had no idea it would melt like that. I mean grinding does get pretty hot. Especially if you have ever accidentally grabbed some freshly cut metal, but dang. I going to keep my vasoline to what it was intended for from now on. Wiping down tool steels.

It looks beautiful, but slippery. I wonder how it would work to texture the handle for better grip. Even a series of shallow kerfs in the edge bevel (done with cutoff wheel on Dremel) would improve grip without too much impairment of sliding in/out of pocket.

Excellent job and thank you for the walkthrough. I know it is a pain to document your procedure while working on a mod, but it helps seeing the step by step process. Really impressed with how well the bevels ended up.

Yes indeed good work. The new handle profile calls to mind the lines of the Lum folders.

Looks Good. Didn't you do something similar to your Rock Lobster in the past?

Yeah sort of, the beveling was similar at least.

Thanks for sharing this. Please keep it up!
