Anymore smock-style locks coming?
Anymore smock-style locks coming?
I think the smocks button actuated compression lock is the best lock in town. Would love to see this on other models. Any plans to reuse this design?

I agree that the Smock style comp lock is a great design. And since it is part of the comp lock patent something we're unlikely to see from anyone else. Hopefully Spyderco will incorporate it into some new designs. Fingers crossed!

I hope there’s more coming too, I really like that push button lock.
(Only thing I didn’t like about the smock was that giant sharpening choil, but I doubt we’d see that again on a different model).

Count me in . This lock set up is too good to only be incorporated to one model . MG2

Just curious, how is the detent with the Smock?

When I first got the Smock , I thought I a problem with the flipper . Detent and lock work perfectly after break in . You do have to be patient ( at least for me ) finding the sweet spot using the flipper . Once you find it and goes into memory bank it’s all good . Mine opens almost as fast as my autos and the detent is strong on mine . Dan

I would also love to see this button lock on other models in the future. I have a Civivi button lock Elementum that I really like but it’s not as nice as my Spydercos. Incidentally Blades We Love converts left handed PM2s to a button lock. Looks pretty awesome.

Good to know. Thanks Dan. I do not like a weak detent. That style of lock concerns me.
