Re: Blade HQ M4/Micarta Shaman
Im having second thoughts as well on this one. I don't have a shaman yet and this would be cool to have but the want has kinda faded in last couple weeks. Will see....
Re: Blade HQ M4/Micarta Shaman
Kinda strange....I feel the same. The pics helped but I still kinda want to hold one first honestly before laying out the cash. The materials used aren't the issue at all, it is why I am interested. Size is however. So game time decision I guess...Cowboyfromhell wrote: ↑Mon May 09, 2022 5:57 pmIm having second thoughts as well on this one. I'm out too. International shipping went AWOL recently, with many US retailers (including BladeHQ) not shipping internationally anymore. I'll spend some quality time with my plain Jane model.

Anyone aware of order limit? 1 or 2? I can’t see anything posted.

Re: Blade HQ M4/Micarta Shaman
I’m in. Got my reminders ready to go.
If I don’t make it past the bots tomorrow, I won’t be heartbroken. I don’t necessarily need another Shaman, after all. But I do really enjoy the factory micarta. I do really want to give M4 a whirl. I do love American-made folding knives, and in spite of the weight, the Shaman is probably my favorite handle design. Did I mention that Green is my favorite color?
I’ve been carrying my ZCarta Shaman all week just to illustrate the point that I do, in fact, like the shaman quite a bit. I prefer the weight of the PM2, and I like the deep carry of my PM2s, but man - the Shaman is a **** of a knife.

I'm happiest with Micarta and Tool Steel.
Top four in rotation: K390 + GCM PM2, ZCarta Shaman, Crucarta PM2, K390 + GCM Straight Spine Stretch.

Re: Blade HQ M4/Micarta Shaman
Speaking of how nice the Shaman is, did you know you can front flip it?
And did you know that it feels solid enough, and comfortable enough in hand, to feather stick with?
I’d love to put a secondary convex bevel on one of these.

Re: Blade HQ M4/Micarta Shaman
Sadly, half the blades will show up on secondary market for $10 profits...
Only a fool in love would pay $300+ for this one. WAY too many other quality blades can be had for FAR less and with recession creeping up on us people cutting back on unnecessary expenses.

Re: Blade HQ M4/Micarta Shaman
Well, woke up this morning and my wife told me to try to get this for our 10 year anniversary coming up. So, looks like I’ll be giving it a shot after all. She’s pretty OK sometimes.
Slightly obsessed…
Re: Blade HQ M4/Micarta Shaman
Ooh, good idea. My 16th is this month!
I’m in to try, but will be in a shell pit today. Not sure I’ll be successful. But I love my Z-carta, and I love M4…
Re: Blade HQ M4/Micarta Shaman
I was lucky enough to snag this on Friday for about what the shaman today will come to after CA taxes…
Definitely prefer Z-Wear over m4. Plus already have a superfreak in m4, which I would say is at least comparable to the shaman. Goodluck to those running the race today!- Buddafucco
