Help needed concerning Police Model

#1

Post by Windwalker »

Bought this police model in 1995... can't decide if it has alum or ti scales.. I thought the box said ti, but now I can't find the @#$%^& box!

It has four exposed and rounded rivets, G2 blade.. beautiful smooth polished finish on scales.. Any help would be appreciated..

Thanks,

Hi Windwalker. It sounds like a "Tuffram" coated aluminum model. (If the rivets are rounded over and stick out of the scale). This is a beautiful model. became too expensive to produce.

If the rivets are flush with the scale, then it could be uncoated aluminum. The Titanium models were made with ATS-34.

hope that helps.

Thank you Sal,

"It sounds like a "Tuffram" coated aluminum model. (If the rivets are rounded over and stick out of the scale)."

That certainly does describe it, and I thank you again for both your time, and your reply!

Man, when you want to know something... go to "the man" he rules! :-)
