When did Spyderco say they paused orders for dealer exclusives? Have they resumed taking orders? One would assume we'd see a lull without any coming to market for some period of time.

That was on June 22, 2021:

Hi Ric,

At this time, Eric just announced that we will be cutting back on exclusives until we can catch up with regular production.

Not necessarily. If there's a backlog of orders and they pause until they're caught up, then resume taking orders, there might not be a noticeable gap. I assume all the knives we're seeing now were probably ordered last year.
Not so sure about that. If they are shifting production from building exclusives to building regular production, then we should notice that shift. Fewer exclusives should be arriving to market.

It's not like a custom maker whose backlog is years so he decides to stop taking orders while he gets caught up. In that case, you wouldn't notice as he continues to deliver knives. Spyderco made clear (I think) that they wanted to shift production back to their standard models to replenish inventory.

Is the "Delica 4 Lightweight" different than just a "Delica 4"? I'm wondering if there's any differences between my ZDP Delica 4 and the new K390 Delica 4, besides just the blade steel of course.

Also, on the subject of K390, is there any info on the upcoming release of Delica/Endura/Endela in K390? I thought those were going to be regular production knives, but everyone seems to be sold out. Have things just been delayed and they are waiting for the next batch?

I'm not seeing the gray G10 CPM-Cruwear Massad Ayoob sprint in the upcoming list. Eric has made an official announcement about it.

Sorry, I guess I was confused by post 1 claiming SHOT show was one of the sources of information for the upcoming list.

You are correct. And you've caught me slacking. RamZar has previously nudged me about the Shot Show announcements. There is a plan that is a lot like the Swick5... It will happen eventually.
Should be sooner than later though.

A month after Reveal 9 was announced and 7 of 16 new Spyderco knife models have been delivered. Probably the rest within the next month or so based on what Reveal 9 said:

Announcing our new products in digital “soft” Reveals and through formal numbered Reveals like this gives us—and our customers—the best of both worlds. Soft Reveals can be prepared very quickly after we receive stock, allowing us to announce and deliver that product in a very timely manner. Numbered Reveals take a somewhat more traditional approach to new-product announcement and are distributed in both digital and printed form. They enable us to unveil unique and highly anticipated products in a more impactful way, while consolidating all recently announced products into a single reference.
