Thanks Sal. That's exciting news! I would gladly buy one sight unseen.

My cup overfloweth with patience. When it’s ready, I’m ready. I’m just happy this is coming to fruition. Only Spyderco would make this happen and BBB is an asset to us all. I hope it is a success for all involved.

Looks like I'm adding 15V when this is released.

The "queue" means it has a space on the "conveyor", rather than waiting on hold for a spot..
Keep in mind that first we had to test Shawn's heat treat requirements. Then we had to get the steel made in a batch with his instructions for his model. That kind of prep does take time. This will be a very special model for sure.

Thanks you sir! I have no doubt that anything that comes form a Houston/Spyderco collaboration will be anything less than awesome.sal wrote: ↑Wed Jan 26, 2022 5:31 pmThe "queue" means it has a space on the "conveyor", rather than waiting on hold for a spot..

Will this be a regular production model?

I've been told it resembles a pocket knife.

Does anyone else remember the old Mervyn's "open, open, open" commercial?

What if the joke's on us and it's just a PM2 with another new steel?

I carried a proto for a while. Roque, our prototype maker made one each for Eric and me. I think it is a special piece created by a special person. It will be regular production and I can guarantee that you will like it.

Stoked. Thanks, Sal.
I'm happiest with Micarta and Tool Steel.

Happy to hear that it will be regular production!
That way we don't have to fight the drops with scalpers and whatnot for dibs on this exciting knife. Great news Sal.

Re: Triple B/Spyderco Folder
Regular production is good news indeed! In reality I'm imagining (more like hoping for) some kind of folding version of one of Shawn's Trapper patterns, which would certainly be cool. Looking forward to trying out CPM 15V, in any case.

I guess this will be pretty thin behind the edge.
