Nice one and definitely needs lanyard for pinky. The blade reminds me Bradford Guardian.
I was thinking the exact same thing myself as soon as I saw it laying on that table, and of course once he started to handle it. Very interested in what the price point will be.

I'm guessing $70.

That is really awesome!! What a cool experience and such a neat little blade to always remember it by, that was probably 15 years before I even knew the name Fred Perrin. Although I would've been 13 in 1999. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you, @Airlsee and you are very welcome. It was a great experience and the first of several adventures with Fred.

Might be the ARK XL I was asking for. Really hope it's available in SE.

I have been trying to find a decent sized fixed blade for my pocket. While I'm still getting an Esee pretty soon, I'm not the biggest fan of skeleton-handle knives.

Most are a little too slim, even with handles. The Morakniv Eldris feels like a brick. I mostly just carry it with the belt attachment.

I will say, however, that the Subway Bowie looks like it's perfect for my use!

have you looked at the xancudo? the folder is a great small knife. i really want to try it as a fb. the izula is coming out in s35vn as well. i just know i'm gonna end up with both of these plus both of spyderco's new fb models. i think this will be the year of the small fb for me. haha

I'm loving the way the blade turned out. Does it have a handle under the FRN, or just a tang?

Coincidentally, Fred just finished a custom knife for me and It's on the way here.

I hope CBP doesn't give me any trouble. :p

I hate the fact that in California I can't carry a fixed blade longer than 2" concealed. I will definitely grab one of these but it's really irritating that I won't be able to carry it as a neck knife or a concealed belt carry. Ugh stupid knife laws.

Played with it at blade, I am totally in! Smaller than I envisioned but great none the less. Sold my clinch pick as it was too easy to slice my thumb on drawing it! That’s just me!

a lot of states won't let you carry any fixed blade concealed. when i lived in florida, i could carry a 3.5" assisted folder in my pocket, but not an izula. the laws are ridiculous.

did you happen to get dimensions? i'm thinking 3" blade and around 3mm thickness?

That thing is way shorter then 3” blade length. I’m guessing 2-2 1/2”.

You're probably right. Street Beat blade is only as long as a caly 3.

Yeah this is going to definitely be a must have for me; I’m a sucker for LC200N. I really hope Spyderco does a taco sheath though and not a pancake sheath. The taco sheaths are just more compact.

I have some questions about this knife though...

What do y’all think the dimensions of this knife will be? I always have a hard time conceiving dimensions on video and pictures. It looks to me like a 2.5”+ blade, maybe 5.5” over all.

Do y’all think it will come with a clip for belt carry, a neck chain or both?

One of the great things is that it will be LC200N, so if I don’t like the sheath I can just make a leather one and not have to worry about corrosion
