Stonewashed Counterpart to the DLC dropped earlier, dropping 5/22 @ 10AM Central:

Well shoot.. I resisted the pumpkin shaman but this is all too appealing. I really like stonewashed finishes.

I am going to try for one. Orange knives are some of my least favorite but I really like XHP and I have been asking for a CQI XHP Military when the polls go up but this is likely as close as I will come to getting to one. I really don’t understand how anybody can have any hesitation about this steel unless you live on a boat. It is an excellent and well rounded steel.
Do right always. It will give you satisfaction in life.

Well good luck tomorrow to anyone who’s going to go for this one.

I’m going to try my self but I slightly doubt my chances.

Don’t forget 5-22-21 10:00 am Mountain time zone boys and girls. :D

Up early and staring into my computer. Happened across a strong deal on a battery powered chainsaw. Now out of toy funds Figured I had a nat's *** sized chance of getting one given the popularity and my slow inet speed. So, no big deal anyways.

Best to all with your efforts.

I’m gonna try. If I get it I’ll sell my S30V base model. If I don’t get it, no big deal. This isn’t gonna perform much different than S30V. I have the S90V, Crucarta, M4, Rex45, S30V and SE S30V so I am probably better off if I do miss out. ;) As it is I only really carry the Crucarta and SE S30V anyway.

I already have their DLC XHP Shaman, but that Stonewash is really my favorite Spyderco blade finish, bar none. Plus it is XHP so it reminds me of the Slysz series and their awesome blade finishes. Still an internal debate whether to get one or not later, since it will be at exactly midnight here.

I don't have a Shaman and would like to give one a try, but I'm kind of holding out hope that DLT does one in their purple G10/DLC Cruwear combination.

10 minutes in and they're still available. Perhaps, we overestimated how fast these Shaman would go this time around.

But all said and done, I'm glad it lasted this long to give everyone who wanted one a chance to get one.

Always interesting to see what speed the exclusives sell out. For me personally, a Saturday drop is much preferred to a weekday, but maybe a lot of people like shopping on their phones or PCs at work? Or maybe they did a large run? Or maybe it's because it's "just" XHP? Who knows.

Whatever the case, I'm happy I had a smooth and easy checkout experience. First Shaman exclusive I've had a chance on, and actually one of the more desirable configs to me personally, so win-win. Kudos to Cutlery Shoppe!

Wow ... I just checked on these and they are still in stock! Looks like I could have gotten one if I hadn't purchased the chainsaw but the deal was too great to pass up!!

I suspect everyone is out of stimulus money...

Yes, I'm honestly shocked it's still in stock. Are the Shamans losing popularity? This one has an awesome steel, stonewashed and is a great deal @ $210. Plus you get all the cool CS swaq!

Got mine right at noon but it’s good to see them still in stock. If there were more standard shamans in stock I may have gotten one weeks ago but I am glad I had to wait for this one. Orange is one of my favorite colors and stonewashed is my favorite finish.

Same, I've been ready to pull the trigger on a standard Shaman for a month or two now, but could never find one in stock, so was psyched to see this one drop.

After going back and forth in my mind, I finally pulled the trigger and got one. I always wanted a Shaman, but wanted a steel other than S30V. I like XHP and stonewash finish on my Swayback and I live in "Orange Country". I also like the Cutlery Shoppe. Can't wait until it arrives.
