If you asked me which dealer i thought would be last to put it up... I would have picked Wylaco. This could be the last of them.
I may have been the last one to buy. Thank you buddafuco! I was hoping to the the ops discount on Spyderco website but really didn’t want to miss this one!

I've been here a few years and this is the first time I have heard of them! You have some serious google-fu!
CRU-CARTA THE SEKI MODELS! AND BRING US THE DODO-FLY!
I wonder if Spyderco has reached the point where they can offer only the fancy version of the knife. Like when the shaman came out, most people were indifferent. "How much for g10 and s30V?"
Would non knife geeks be turned off by micarta and cruwear/4v if it was the only version?;
I think black g10 may be more universally accepted than Micarta, but I don't think they care about the steel. Unless they're like my brother, a former knife geek from the 2000's where s30v was the hotness, and they think s30v is the best steel to have. Haha!
I don't know if the regular Shaman is big seller as is though. $210 is a lot for a knife to most non knife geeks, while us knife geeks think s30v in a $210 knife that's made for hard use is retarded. I wouldn't be surprised if the regular shaman is one of the weakest selling Golden knives. This would explain why they twice incorrectly assumed a Shaman sprint wouldn't sell as well as it did.
I also think the Shaman deserves a better steel even if it raises price a bit. Benchmade is far better at selling $200+ knives to non knife geeks than any other company, and they have switched to Cruwear and 3v in their hard use knives. It will probably help, not hurt, sales.
I've seen salesman at the knife counter of sportsman's warehouse pull out a knife steel table for customers who don't know much about steels. Even if most people aren't knife nerds, there are still those who want something "better".
The downside of multiple steels available for one knife is probably higher prices for base steels like S30V. Not that I would know, that's just a guess.

That’s awesome of them! I wish we had places like that here. And yeah, cost increase definitely. It’s already $210 tho, I’d pay another $30. Lol.
Maybe everyone unsubscribed from this thread? Longest they have been in stock for sure.
You are probably correct. I'd like to imagine that eventually somebody will see this and spit their lunch all over their computer screen when they realize it's still there!
Just like ABX probably just did. :D
Right now it is vendors that are releasing a second batch of the knives. Don't know which ones have released their second set (if they're getting one).
