There are services in the US to which you can have a knife you bought in the US sent, and they will forward it to you (to Europe) for a reasonable price (so essentially you have your own "post box" in the US).
I used "myus" several times. The service was free, I just payed when they actually send me something, and it was only around 12 to 15 USD for a shipment (of course in most cases you will have to pay then taxes/tariffs to your homecountry customs)
"myus" though obviously does charge a lot more nowadays for knives (or does not ship knives at all anymore?) according to Micha / "Archangel". But there are other such services.
Have relatives in the US, can have stuff sent to them so they can send pass it on to me. But I’ll have to wait for something extraordinary until I abuse their kinship...
