It's interesting to hear how ship times vary so greatly from person to person.

I got my order in with Knifeworks last week on Wednesday, and it was here in Cali
on Tuesday. The shaman is in my pocket today and I see why this material combination was so hyped. They took a phenomenal knife and made it even better.

The big Winter storm has added further delays on top of the left over craziness of 2020. I have had very abnormal service from USPS. Sometimes things arrive super quickly from across the country, other times it takes weeks to make it down the coast. I have gotten shipments quicker from Finland via DHL than I have from other states in the US via USPS.

They sure do scratch easily. I cut up a cardboard soda box (first thing I cut with it) and got a couple long scratches on the blade. Just a heads up for those averse to a little character on their knives. I don’t mind, personally.

You're supposed to take the soda cans out of the box before cutting it! :D
Are you sure it's not just some residue?

I’m sure it would cut the cans no problem! Haha

I'd say my TreeRex gets >50% of all my Shaman pocket-time, followed by S90V. 4V, & SE S30V getting most of the remaining...

Mine arrived a few days ago. I have 2 other Shamans ( BladeHQ exclusive M4 DLC and Sprint Rex45) this one is my favorite in hand without using it yet. The Micarta feels and looks good

She's a beaut' - Great looking texture!

I have to admit I am *REALLY* digging the texture of mine -- I'm considering doing a scale swap with my S90V Shaman as I'm not a huge fan of slick CF, but love S90V in the Shaman platform, they are an awesome pair.

I’m currently waiting for mine to ship from warriors and wonders in Canada, was lucky enough to check my email after work and they said they had them in stock, I must have grabbed one of the last ones.
Very excited for this knife as it’s going to be my first shaman and first sprint run of anything. Thank you to a lot of people on this thread and the lookout thread, you guys and girls really make the hunt for sprint runs bearable.

I have the KC exclusive Manix in CF and Cruwear. This made me appreciate Cruwear. However, I didn’t want to patina the blade. All I’ve used it for is cutting and opening boxes, and I haven’t touched the first acidic food with it. Trying to keep a patina off of it.

Then I sat down to eat last night. As I looked at the Asian Pork Chop my wife prepared, I kept saying to myself, “Embrace the patina, embrace the patina, embrace the patina.” 😂

After a couple rounds of that, a good deep breath, I cut the pork chop! There is just the slightest hint of discoloration this morning. Looking forward to breaking in the micarta and patina over time!

Got mine in today after the deep freeze delay. This is my first shaman and I’m pretty happy with it. Now that I’ve compared it to my jade m4 manix xl, I’m going to keep the shaman and sell the manix xl. The xl is is nice but the shaman, even though the blade is beefier and the knife is heavier, just fits my hand better and feels more refined.

Amazing the difference in the look of the micarta after natural use, just some grime and hand oils!

*I'm not a hoarder, Z-Wear model is in the mail now*

Why would owning a Z-Wear Shaman make you a hoarder?

Hah, I feel the opposite. I expected to like the Shamans handle better than the Manix XL, but that wasn't the case.

I'm hanging on to my Shaman for now though. Maybe down the road I'll have a change of heart and decide to put it in my pocket.

Not trying to look a subtle "brag", that I happened to have both. I grabbed the Z-Wear only with the intentions of helping someone out, as the Cruwear was done for me. It's a good feeling! Yea, I could make $50 or so on the secondary market, but it's a better feeling to help someone out instead, and hopefully brings good juju in the future :)

Both are beautiful knives that feel very different in the hand.
