Nice, congrats! Hope you'll let us know how you like it after some use. :)
I'd be especially interested what you think about the positive blade angle (I personally prefer a bit more negative ones tbh).
Will definitely share my thoughts! Thank you. :) Initial impressions are very positive and I like the aesthetic of the blade angle. Will see how it does during use!
Beautiful landscape photo! My CS4 just went to a friend for a little mod. When it is ready, I will show it here

My biggest concern with detent based locks is them opening unintentionally in the pocket. This knife has a detent strong enough for the light blade, enough so that i can not purposefully inertia open it as i can with some other models.
The Sage 5LW might be its own worst enemy. It is so good that it is kind of boring. :spyder: You know, like shoes that fit so well they go un-noticed?
The build is superb. The pivot action is lovely if you like low-friction pivots. The blade is ground very well, nice and thin behind the edge. I tend to prefer the wire clip. The size is great, just little bigger than the perennially favorite Native 5. I like the Taichung FRN texture visually and it feels fine. As others have commented it feels like "the" quintessential modern Spyderco. S30V hasn't let me down, but if the Sage series gets other options, could be cool.
We'll see. I don't always love FRN though. I have a set of micarta scales ordered for this one, which will be a first for me with aftermarket scales.
