BHQ Manix in M390

Has there been a sprint or special edition in the XL? I would love to see that.

I don't have any experience with M390, does it rust or corrode easily? I like the satin blade but would go with the DLC black if it corrodes easily.

The S90v CF Manix2 XL is the only XL sprint I am aware of.

M390 is a good stainless and quite corrosion resistant.

M390 is my favorite stainless steel I've tried thus far, hands down. I'd be all over this if I didn't already have the PM2 with the brown scales and just got the 20CV (apparently similar to M390) model Manix just yesterday.

I'm weird don't like having multiple knives with the same color scales. I guess that could doom me, or save me money depending how you look at it haha.

If the DLC has black hardware I think I'll have to get one. I love the look of the black hardware on the Knifeworks exclusive in 52100, and I love M390/20CV/204p.

Haha. Yeah, l still may buy the DLC one. The other end would have been me saying awesome looking Manix 2 but a shame it isnt Cruwear, 3V, 4V, Rex45, Elmax, etc. In reality it is a really a great looking knife with a very popular steel so it will do well and I will probably grab one.

I have one of the EDC Forums Manix 2 XL's from a few years ago. They were done in S30V with GITD scales, so there's at least that run.

are these only at BHQ? Doesn't really matter to me as I like BHQ but if they are widely distributed I don't have to watch them like a hawk if they sell out in 30 seconds.

Why did these Manix 2 Brown M390 knives disappear off of the BHQ site? I had them on my wish list...now gone? I searched their site and they are not there?

They are still on GP Knives site.

Maybe they had a certain amount of pre-orders they were able to fill, and they have hit their limit? It is kind of strange.

I noticed throughout 2018 that knives on BHQ would come in and out of pre order then show no pre order then out of stock. Bow river has been yo-yoing like this all year. I think there is something goofy with their pre order stuff.

Is this the same distributor who has the S35VN Earth Brown exclusives? I wonder if they are switching to M390 now. I certainly would if I was them. M390 is much more popular than S35VN these days. I hope they keep going and do a Native, Military, and Manix XL in the DLC M390 / Earth Brown G10 combo.

Neither are exclusives. Lots of dealers have the S35VN run and I think it was GPKnives that also has the M390 Manix listed.
