I bought one of these, AFAIK the other one's still available. I can ask if you're interested. (Of course i have no guarantee it's still up for grabs, it's a former collector selling off just about every knife..
Yes please! Thank you!
Ok, i will get back to you regardless of outcome, so you know

I'll keep my eyes peeled and let you know if I see one pop up anywhere!

I've been also wondering if the blade on the ROOKIE model may be borderline on considering a possible combo edged unit? Most of the time I would say it would have to be a JD Smith or bigger model to qualify>> but the design of the ROOKIE and it being such an ideal EDC design I've wondered about offering it in Spyderedge, Plain EDGED and Combo-Edge.

Normally I'm not a big fan of small bladed folders because most of my cutting jobs I've encountered do much better with a larger blade model like a C-36 Military, JD Smith, Ayoob or Endura for that matter. The ROOKIE and CaLY JR are two exceptions because I do like using those from time to time.

Just wanted to check in and see if you've had a chance to look into this. I really appreciate it.

I have asked the guy who knows the owner and set me up. No reply yet, I won't forget you though!

Hi everyone. I'm hoping someone here will be able to help me out. I've carried the Spyderco Rookie with the serrated edge and black G-10 handles every single day for nearly 17 years. It was a gift from my father when I graduated infantry training back in 2002. It seems it's fallen out of my pocket and gotten lost at a resort this weekend and while I've called their lost and found, I doubt they'll find it. That being the case, would anyone here know where I might be able to find a new one for purchase? It's not only the one knife that really fits my edc and feels best in my hand, this model has significant sentimental value to me. Any leads or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Did you ever find one?. EBay has a rookie that just popped up, but isn't serrated. When I saw it I thought of this thread.

Maybe it's time for a serrated G10 Rookie sprint
Yeah I would love a Sprint Run ROOKIE in SE & PE both. Oh did I mention a premium blade steel would also be a great idea for such a great old model?

I loved my Rookie though a slightly thicker handle would make it more comfortable in use.
