How do you store your knives
Re: How do you store your knives
Large Spyderpac and a couple BladeHQ knife rolls. Usually have a few laying out around the house too.

Tackle cases with the interchangeable slots, cheap but effective, keep dust off em when I'm not using them
I came here to cut sh#$ with my knives and chew bubblegum, and I'm all out of bubblegum

Re: How do you store your knives
I have em in a desk drawer. But I only have like six so far. I have an old wooden box with a handful of other knives (crkt, case, no name etc) in it tho.
I just leave em in the drawer til I need em. The one I'm carrying stays on my pants or shorts until I go to sleep, then I leave it on the desktop with my keys.

I have ~20 in boxes in the safe and 5 more in my nightstand. Also, about a dozen ladybugs and family scattered throughout the house, cars, bags, etc...

Re: How do you store your knives
The bottom drawer of my dresser has becoming my unofficial official "knife drawer", The Spyderco's that I don't plan to use are inside their box with the protective plastic. I have fix blades out of their sheaths, wrapped in micro fiber clothes. The knives I do use I keep by my night stand, but I never have more than 3 out at a time.

I store the ones I'm not using in their boxes inside a carrying case or tackle/tool box to keep them where I can find them. It helps save time when I'm looking for something.

Small Spyderpac for my regular users. About that many more in their boxes awaiting re-sale or gifting. I love my Spydies but I've really cut back on my folders in recent years as I've come to prefer fixed blades whenever possible.

Re: How do you store your knives
(Bear with me, this is going to be a long one... I'll keep the text to a minimum)
I've got most of my knives divided into two cases in my bedroom:
And the second one:
Here's a shot of all the drawers from both cases:
Individual drawers for those interested in seeing them up close:
And the second one:
Small cases from one of the drawers:
(My pride and joy has it's own tiny case of course :p )
Spyderco kitchen knives, sharpening stones, etc. are in the kitchen.
The pin collection is on a cork pin board downstairs.
Catalogs, pamphlets, hardcover book, etc. are in my bookcase.
Stuff likes boxes, goodies, extra scales, pouches, etc. are in other cases.
For those who have managed to stick to my post for this long, hope it was worth it and well done.

Re: How do you store your knives
I have approx 85 knives and $20,000 invested so I purchased 4 air-tight plastic bins from Storables https://www.storables.com/catalogsearch ... q=airtight, of which so far I have two set up to store knives. In each bin is a humidity detector and a large box of desiccant, which I purchased off of Amazon. I also bought a couple bottles of Renaissance Wax to cover the blades so that they do not rust.
My only problem is that this is a lot of work, but for long term storage, it is the best way that I know of.
I have a lot of work ahead of me to set up the remaining two bins.
There are abt 20 EDC knives that will not go in the bins.

Re: How do you store your knives
Uhh...their kinda everywhere. Original boxes, ammo boxes, Amazon cardboard shipping boxes, Ziploc bags, loose in cabinet drawers, in the car's console and, of course, in my pocket.
Re: How do you store your knives
In my drawers in the original Spyderco boxes.
Re: How do you store your knives
Hooked by their Spydieholes to pegboard that lines the inside of my safe’s door. Limited real estate keeps me honest, sorta.
